How to Make a Hand Bag Cake- Rosie's Dessert Spot

For this project, I recommend using an 8 inch square cake. I found this had the least amount of cake wastage, as the cut offs were recycled into the hollow spaces of the cake. The ganache recipe I recommend using is a 1:2 ratio, with 1 part cream and 2 parts dark chocolate. I used 400 grams dark chocolate and 200 grams heavy cream. For the final layer of frosting, I mixed my ganache with buttercream. This means my frosting allowed a little more time for me to smooth it out before it started to harden.
