It got the essence, but it still lack that "power" so special of that kick, so ruff yet so round, like the famous promo kick. I think it's because it was made on a single FX chain with only 1 sample, like you said, I myself i've been looking onto this kick for a long time, I was around the same kind of result as yours, lacking that specific and signature "power". Good work on this one :)

I think the sub overpowered it a bit too much

How is it possible to achieve the distortion in 9:12, if you don't use FL Studio? It seems like it's asymmetric distortion x 2, with lots of drive. In ableton I managed to get something similar by using some overdrive, Pedal (fuzz preset) and then saturation. It sounds cool but still not as crisp as yours. There must be a way of recreating it in say, Trash 2, right?

Any waveshaper that supports asymmetry should do the trick, which Trash does. Melda also has a free one called MWaveShaper if you don't own Trash already.

Just get a wave shaper vst there’s plenty of free ones. Trash 2 has a waveshaper too

I honestly think you should teach a class on hardstyle production. Your voice is actually enjoyable to listen and very engaging. R3Spawn. That fool so boring....
