How to make a high voltage transformer 40KV

Came here with the idea to hear some actual instructions on how to make a high voltage transformer. Instead, I got a 10 min music video without any explanation, just a guy making copper coils manually. Generally, I am quite disappointed. You should consider doing the following for future videos - explain where you can use a transformer like this - give some safety precautions - show the viewer the math behind it - specify what materials you are using - TEST THE DEVICE and show us the results I hope you can see this and remake the video so that it gives the viewer some actual information on the topic.

Kapton tape should be placed over the return leg of each winding to keep them separate. Not doing so invites a very short life span for the flyback.

Why don’t you use 3/ 6/9 as your base on things they are the combination I think is needed I don’t know if it is for a motor generator or amplifier or all but the numbers are important to use 9 is the most important of all. @@electromagic3111 I also damaged my first one but it works wonders when immersed in oil. Oil is a wonderful insulator and coolant, that's why it's used in commercial transformers. If you insert high voltage diodes, then the arc is 5 times longer. (diode split transformer)

Two purposes: 1) it lowers the parasitic capacitance of secondary. 2) it reduces the chance of dielectric breakdown under high voltage.
