"Don't be afraid to let your game change." That hit hard lmao. I have such big emotions attached to Adventure Realms that any time I try and redo it, it just never feels the same. It really shows just how level headed you are with Call to Battle and how you're not afraid of molding it into something better than what it was before. Maybe one day I can do the same for Adventure Realms, hah.

Every single tutorial on making a TCG on youtube seems entirely surface level, there's only like 1 section or a minute dedicated to the actual designing of a game/rules. What about things to consider, how to incorporate a theme, I don't even want to consider drawing/printing, doing a back, distributing without a set of rules or idea and you can't just breeze past that in a minute, because of course I'll have to draw or print some out, that's the easy bit, the problem with designing a card game, is, wait for it, designing the game.

Those cards look great! I have a question: what are your views on game balance and how should a new TCG creator keep balance in check?
@CoolxAwSomeNess85 жыл бұрын
Cardageddon TCG I feel as if balance is something that you will always have to be striving toward. With the addition of any card, there comes the risk that’s it too powerful or plain terrible. Play testing is definitely the best way to test things out, but I feel as if preserving balance is something that constantly has to be worked towards :)
@Manda_Kat4 жыл бұрын
This won't work for every type of game, but for the game I'm working on, each card costs tokens, which you have to spend to play them. I group the individual costs into a hierarchy and each level can't exceed or go beneath the quality I've assigned to it. Not sure if this will work for what you're planning, however.

@toxic_shr00m3 жыл бұрын
@@sawderf741 You weren't asking for anyone else's opinion, but I believe that card bans and such should always be decided by the community alone, as a strict rule added to balance a specific card can just be frustrating for the players. Ellumacent Souls TCG, Wrath Of Cores TCG, Skyscape TCG, Resolution Breakers, Domhan Rhapsodie, and Myself. Wanting them to see what you can do with as little as pencil crayons, paper and a camera, up to, editing programs and digital artwork. These are very good points sir! Im making a card game called card kripts.the monsters are based on monsters from myths and legends.like the manticore or warewolves.one of the monsters i've made is called wherewolf.after a man got bitten by a wolf he transformed into a wherewolf but also got amnesia.thats why its called WHEREwolf.you start the game by flipping an attack card like a penny.there are 4 attack types and each card is weak to one of them.claw,weapon,shoot,and punch.whoevers card lands on the front side the attack works.all attacks do 1 damage but sometimes do 2 if the opponent is weak against an attack.there are also armorize cards which is basically like evolution but you flip an armor card like the attack card in order for it to work.OH yeah theres also a story.in the 1800s or 1700s humans used to hunt down the creatures from the game.soooo sone of them hid underground and some went into hibernation in their cards.many years later (modern day) a bunch of kids turn it into a card game....kinda like bakugan.
