Magnificent work👍🏻👍🏻! I want to steal plead that the measurements should be at the beginning on each piece of wood. Measurements being at the end is a bit confusing. I know you sharing this video is for a purpose which is, Others to learn from.👍🏻👍🏻 I still plead in the area of measurement to be at the beginning. Do the side panels on A have to be L shaped or can they be even and straight? I want to built wardrobes around it floor to ceiling and don’t want unevenness and them sticking out. Thanks!

Of course you can, provided that the reference panel width is 45 cm to the top. The downside is that the panel sticks out a bit. Another method, you can make a separate wardrobes and place it next to the Murphy bed.

Hello there, this Horizontal Bed that you have shown is using a Mattress size of 90 x 200 cm. Is it possible this your sketch details can be modified to suit 150 cm (w) x 200 (d) cm Mattress, of Latex type, say max 8 inch thick. And with the same Overall Height of 210 cm, but the Overhead Cupboard would become smaller , maybe about 20 cm , instead of 80 cm that you have. The idea is to accommodate / sleep two elderly persons , combined weight of max 170 kg. Pls advise, by simply stretching the Bed frame by 60 cm , will work okay?? Thanks and Regards / Raja

follow up on what i wrote few minutes ago, i want to know the Base wooden plae 30 cm width x 2.5 cm thick with slots for hinges ( your Detail "B" - Part "A") , may this plank width to be increased to have extra bearing surface of the Bed Frame ?? say width increased by 15 cm may be ? then The Overall Cabinet Width will also increase by 15 cm at the lower end ?! And please can you specify the Gas Spring size , to source locally in India ? / Thanks.

No problem, resize/expand to suit your needs. Determine the type of gas spring based on the weight of the bed when opened/closed. Example: 10 Newtons = 1 kg 100 Newtons = 10 kg. A pressure/force of 100 newtons is equivalent to 10 kg. If you modify the design and expand it, the need for gas springs will definitely increase. Following are the gas spring simulations and specifications: 1. A 40 kg object with a gas spring of 800 newtons will be hard and unable to move, because the pressure is too great. 2. A 40 kg object with a 200 newton gas spring, the gas spring will break and not function because the pressure is too low. 3. If the bed (not a cabinet) requires 2 gas springs (left - right). So with a weight of 30 kg you need gas spring 150 newtons or the equivalent of 15 kg. BEFORE BUYING, MAKE SURE FIRST HOW MANY NEWTONS YOU NEED? Adjust it to the weight of the bed that will be opened and closed.
