I really like it. Saves a lot of space when not in use, and can function as a shelving unit as well as a desk/table. I think I would find away to add castors to the bottom of the pull out to make it easier to pull out and push back. They could also be utilised for moving the complete unit if needed.

Looks nice. I would have added wheels and maybe a lock for the extended position. I was also thinking about some drawer guides, but I don't think I saw any that can expand so far.

Except for the curved rail on the side, I think the dimensions for the entire unit should be quite adjustable to your requirements, based on what I can see. Not sure if he has the plans though, but might be easy to draw one out.
