I have flown and I crew for a guy that owns a Cameron. By far my favorite brand of balloons when it comes to their lightweight and durability. Out of all the balloons I have crewed for Cameron's are my favorite.

Cameron Balloons build the most incredible, well engineered Hot Air Balloons in the world. I've had 4! A V-77; N-105; O-56 and most recently a beautiful N-31 which I hope to have certified as an experimental here in the United States. Thank you Don and Hannah for what you've done for ballooning!

I disagree, and have had the misfortune to own one of their 210,000cuft balloons. It pretty much took a Gorilla to pull the vent, I sent the whole damn thing back to them once to fix the problem....but it was in their design, which is more a beach ball shape than a high shouldered hot air balloon shape that puts good volume near the top of the balloon where the best lift is developed. THEY are certain they have the best....but those days are well over. Others are now the market leaders.

@@rogeranderson8763 completely disagree. No balloon manufacturer has the brains and ingenuity that camerons do.

@@bloonsfamguy Disagree all you like....that does not change the fact that though they were once one of the best, Cameron Balloons has been passed by. Plus, their service to their customers seriously sucks here in the US. I'm speaking as a person who was once a Factory Representative for them....and Quit in disgust.

HELP! I can't make it work. I used 2 13 gallon bags taped together and I can't even get it to fly without pipecleaner man.

Kathi Taylor Hi Kathi, sorry to hear you're not having much success, here are a few more top tips to help you out: - Use the thinnest/lightest bag material you can find; lots of black bin bags are made of very thick and heavy plastic. - Make sure there are no gaps or holes in the bags or tape for hot air to escape. - Even if you're not attaching the pipecleaners, tie the corners of the opening so that the hole at the bottom is as small as possible but still large enough for the hairdryer to fit inside. - Keep heating the air inside until the bag is rising so much that you can feel it pulling upwards. Heat it so much that it feels like you can't hold onto it for much longer, then heat it some more. Don't give up. Keep experimenting & let us know if you need any more help. If you manage to get lift-off, send us some pictures!

The best way to learn is to go crew for a balloon!! If there is a balloon rally near you go and find the Balloonmeister (or anyone else running the event) and ask if any of the balloons need crew. You might have more luck at a smaller rally. Even thor crewing means you don't always get to fly you still learn a ton!! I have been crewing for around 3-5 years and once you get to know the Pilots they even might ask you to come help at specific rallies or when they're in the area. Some of the things I have learned are how to inflate the envelope, deflate the envelope connect the envelope to the basket, lots about wind currents, and so much more. It's really fun.
