Seems like a lot of wasted time wrapping the hula hoop with gold balloons. Why not just spray paint it??

Spray paint peels off!!

It may seem like a lot of time but it's quite fast. Also, balloons are cheaper, faster (no drying time!), co-ordinate perfectly and give extra grip to the balloons on the hoop so they won't shift as you work or in transit.
