So far most of the videos I have posted on my channel have been videos that I have decided to make and post. If people start requesting videos, am I wrong to ask for a small donation sent to my PayPal or Venmo for that video? I think people on KZbin enjoy their free content, so I wouldn't have high hopes that anyone would be willing to pay a couple bucks for a requested video.

I think it's a very reasonable request.

If you don't mind me asking, what is going on at the butt of the handle in the photo at around 6:39? How are you keeping your plaiting at the end of the handle from unraveling. I always have a hard time keeping everything under control at this point.

Always wanted to have a whip and I made one with just a rope but it doesn’t really crack and then I tried to make a real whip but didn’t work thanks for teaching me to whip though!!

Boy, all that info comes fast and furious! Adam, for the length of your longest continual stands, 1.8-ish times total length intended for tip back plaiting still? Trying to digest your design theory. Thx.
@Adam-Winrich3 жыл бұрын
I use the formula for all of my paracord whip making. The whip is about 4 ft, and since all of the strands will get doubled over, I take 8 ft times 1.8, so the longest strand is about 14 ft.

@@Adam-Winrichthank you for the quick reply. It would seem to me that using ungutted 550 in the belly should be faster to gain diameter and shape than multiples bellies. Why then two or more bellies using gutted cord?

Can you make a short video showing how you add a doubled over strand to the overlay?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
David Barnett, I did that already, it is right in the middle of this very video!!!!!🤦♂️

If your question is "how do I add a strand while braiding over the core", then look at the photo at the 6:31 mark. Start by placing the middle of the strand at the back of the braiding, then bring one side of the strand through the braiding pattern, crossing over the front, then bring the other side of the strand through, crossing over the front in the other direction.

Adam that was quite interesting. I’ve never seen a whip build from the tip of the thong. Do you find it easier to make a whip that way? Cause I’ve always started with the handle.
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
sgthawke, for most whips I start from the handle. The first short set of whips I made for Aaron were made this way, so we stuck with this design. If you want to see another build method of mine, I did a collaboration video with Nick Schrader last year.

AdamCWM Thank you for the info. I will look into that. Your videos have always been helpful and fun as hell to watch.

Wait, how do you add the core? I mean, do you just hold it in place with your fingers until there are enough turns of the overlay holding it in place?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
I tuck the end of the core under the strand I just brought around in the braiding pattern, leaving about an inch of the core sticking out above that strand. Then I braid a couple more strands before I pull the core in so that almost none of it is sticking out. Once I have done 8 stitches of braiding, I carefully pull the last bit of core in so that it doesn't stick out anymore.

@AdamCWM What exactly is the juggling whip? What are the uses?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
Richard Vazquez it can do about anything else a short bullwhip does. I only call these juggling whips because Aaron Bonk had input into the design to make them whips that he juggles in shows. I think I explained that in the video.
