I have been watching your channel for 4 months and have really found it helpful. I make and sell handmade books, journals, and junk journals in craft fairs in USA. You have such creative and artistic style that I can look through my enourmous stash of tools and paper and apply your ideas. I really appreciate the ideas you have to make different types of journals, with ephameria, with charms and jewlery, with cheap cover ideas, etc.

This was definitely way more complicated then it needed to be with the envelopes bc I’ve made covers extremely similarly but never had to cut them that way… so I was like huhhhhhh that’s a whole other step I’m not doing! (You get set in your ways!!!) but it is absolutely beautiful she makes gorgeous journals

They make card stock envelopes that size that in the US you can get as many as you want free from the post office they even sell card stock envelopes that are perfect for a thin traveler’s journal longer and thinner (I can’t think of the size!) but they have these envelopes in many sizes and I’ve used them for covers bc I my sewing machine broke so I’m gluing everything…. (Really really well!) but it’s working great!!! I started going to different post offices so they didn’t tell me to stop taking too many!!!

I noticed you said you used your own (beautiful btw) Gel or Gelly Paper. Do you have a video on how to do that? I would love to try and make some. Thanks a bunch! So happy my friend shared your site with me! Have a blessed day!! MaryJo

Love these journal covers Dragona, they’re beautiful! I love the idea of using gelli prints too, I have loads of them that I’m hoarding waiting for the perfect use! Gelli printing is one of those addictive crafts that you can’t call a halt too just in case the next print is The One! 😂 I love the stencil of the leaves that you used on the print that you lined your fabric journal with, do you mind if I ask which brand it is please? Xx
@Saacibo
@Saacibo Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching. I used stencil by Cadence. BN-175 is the number on it. I bought it in a local store but I've seen it in some online craft shops. ❤️😊

@@Saacibo Hi! Thank you for the information, sadly I’ve checked online here in the UK but nobody stocks them, but I can get my sister in law to send them from Turkey for me, they may not get here as quickly as a local delivery but I’m happy knowing they’ll be on their way ( I say they because I spotted a few others I like too😂!) I have followed you from the start and look forward to your videos and I always get a smile when I see you’ve posted one! Xx

Love this video. Your cover is beautiful and would like to make one for my sister’s birthday with a garden theme. The inside green paper, I assume it was done with a gel plate which is stunning. I would like to know what king of paper did you use ? Thank you. Love your videos
@Saacibo
@Saacibo Жыл бұрын
You’re very welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Inside paper is a gel print and I used deli paper, also called butcher paper or tissue paper. Cheap thin paper that is great for gel printing. I happen to have one that was light greenish grey color, probably wasn’t bleached, instead of the usual white. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment 😊❤️

when you had the envelope opened,why not glue the second one in,instead of having to feed the glued one inside the other one?
@Saacibo
@Saacibo Жыл бұрын
I wanted to have 3 sheets of paper on the outside ( cover) and only 1 for the pocket, but you can certainly do it your way if it's easier for you 😊❤️

Why not just open the other envelope and then glue the other one in….. this was a very confusing tutorial for me. Just being honest. But I don’t mind bc it’s always a chance to learn something new

I really like both the paper and the fabric journal covers. With that sais, you really threw me off when you said properly. There is no such thing as peoperly when making junk journals. Theres just different. You do you and ill do me. I usualy only give positive, upbeat comments, and I'm not trying to be negative, but everyone likes to use different styles for their crafts
@Saacibo

I agree with you. Everyone should do everything their way. My intention is never to push my way. If it came across like that then I probably didn’t express myself well 😊
