Thank you for the beautiful work. The fine attention to detail makes ordinary cloth elevates to such a magnificent piece. I am sitting down taking notes, wishing for extra time to needlepoint. I am thrilled just to follow your patterning for a plain lined garment, thank you.

Great tutorial - am planning to make one like yours. Could you tell me how wide you made the sleeves? Couldn't quite see on your ruler how deep from end of shoulder to the lowered armhole. Is it 10 inches? Thank you for any help - your jacket is gorgeous and what a great use of your leftover fabric pieces as trim.

Thank you. I'm not a professional. Little skills I have are from my mom and hours with my old sewing machine. All I need for the pattern, as you see in the video, is my t-shirt which is fit my body. Enjoy!!

Like the simplicity of your pattern construction. Makes it easy for beginners to understand. Gosh that’s a short cutting table. I get neck pain for days cutting on my dining table. Been thinking of making higher one for cutting. Anybody have an idea of a good one not too pricey and something I can hide away when not in use?

You just make it all look so easy! If I followed you correctly, you attached the lining along the neck/front seam, then turned it all through the sleeve to get it right side out? Then hand sewed the bottom and sleeves together as the hem?
@daoshowsyouhow6 жыл бұрын
Practically Creative Most of the bottom part I used the machine, the rest..yes, you got it.

I love it but I would of like to have the measurements recents by inches of the sleeves and the diagonal of the front and is the embroidery all the way to the back too or is it just the front...
@daoshowsyouhow4 жыл бұрын
The embroidery is all around the neck line. The length of the sleeves, measure from the neckline, mine is 20". And diagonal of front, once you have a neck line, fold it in half, and cut from the neck line down to the bottom.
@margaretwelter21824 жыл бұрын
Why did you angle the seam of the front band ( going from 1” in from center front raw edge up to shoulder) instead of making straight line? Does it make it hug the neck and chest better? Beautiful
@daoshowsyouhow4 жыл бұрын
Actually it should be as wide as the thickness of the strap for the neck line. And yes it helps the line hug the neck and chest better^^.
