One of the greatest highlights of KZbin, this video just saved me about $100 to not buy CRB7 router base. I also realized that for my arch project, I can use my router make the arch ornate or apply some fancy profile without buying flexible moldings. Thank you very much for your video.

I'm used to larger, corded routers kzbin.infoUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.

THank you so much! I work at a Mill Shop and I got the job by accident because the other millright had a slight table saw accident, (he no longer works at this type of job). I just got the order to cut a 8 foot table circle in 2 halves and have never done it before. Your video saved my ASS. I wish I would have had more wood experience when I started this job, but I did not know the difference between vg hemlock and Fir. Please make more videos for us wood challenged, moped experts. Thanks again. Randy RH DSD

Always have fun whatever you`re doing. Dramatic editing makes the video production fun. Woodworking is just fun all by itself.

Thanks for your very practical and to-the-point explanation. Worked like a charm. Made myself a perfect circle for a table I'm building.

Good video, your dust extraction a little like mine today making wagon wheels. I'm like you and make my jigs. I made up my wagon wheels and then roughly cut the outer circle with my jig saw. Then grabbed my festool router, stuck in onto a jig about the same as yours, 3 cuts and perfect. Thanks for your time and love your laid back style.

The rig is perfect. Works like a charm. What type of bit did you use to make such a clean cut? I used a brand new bit on my router and I ended up with really rough edges.

Its funny...awhile back I was trolling KZbin for plans to make air cleaners for my shop. I watched your video and learned quite a bit. Then, fast forward to today and I am trolling looking to make a circle jig. As I'm watching this video I can't help but think I've seen this guy before...I had. From your air cleaner video. Are you still woodworking? Hit me up if you ever want to shoot the breeze.

The way you measured your 36 minus 2*drill bit diameter right? Thanks for the video R/
@chestermicek8 жыл бұрын
Quick & dirty, but it works. I understand why you didn't use the dust collector., There was a lot going on with the cord and there would have been more with the dust collector. Also, you should have cleared your work space a little so that you could walk around your object board as you cut. Also, I would have cut this circle outdoors. However, I like your quickie jig. Simplicity is a good thing.

You measured your bit from the inside of the cutter bit to the pivot. So your circle was 36" plus two times your bit width.
@TomGlander9 жыл бұрын
Measured? Did you say measured? Yup. He done that.

@@AntonioTorres-om7iw It would be pretty hard to hit the cord with the blade with that setup. Just relax.

I thought the same thing. Every circle cutting video shows the cord in the way. Hang it off of something overhead and leave slack in the cord and your cut wont be interrupted.

@danielmalan93455 жыл бұрын
PAPERGATORZ TV just re-measure from the bit to the distance of radius of your circle. drill a hole and put pin through. no need to remove router from thr jig.
