Hi Chris, what knot do you prefer for tying the mainline to the leader? Thanks
@tight.lines.chris.miller2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, I use a 5 turn grinner knot for tying the mainline to the loop of the leader. If I’m using braid as a main line (I do this for most ledgering), I pass the braid through the loop twice as it’s much thinner than monofilament line. Tight lines

Am l 'wrong' did I miss something!? you gave Korda a product plug !? BUT l have'nt got a clue what your thought on the best kinds of LeadLess leaders?
@tight.lines.chris.miller4 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, I’ve been using Avid Pin Down and it’s really good - Ridge Money also have a good one (and you get a free splicing needle too). All the major manufacturers are doing lead free now, as so many fisheries are banning lead core. Hope this helps you.

Hi chris what material are you using please?
@tight.lines.chris.miller4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shane, I’m using Avid Pindown leader in 45lb at the moment, I’ve used it for the past few years and it’s really good. I’m told Ridge Monkey make a good one too and it comes with a splicing needle.

How do you stop the leader from floating up off the lake bed
@tight.lines.chris.miller4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, the leader is made from a heavy braided material that sinks, so it stays flat on the lake bed and pins everything down

@@tight.lines.chris.miller I'm using korda Dura cord and if you lower it in the lake it floats up after the bead maybe I need to change leader material. Thanks for the reply and helpful video. 👍

@@michaelleneghan7431 that’s strange, it should stay on the lake bed. I use Avid Pin Down and it hugs the bottom really well
