Throughout my career as a knife maker, my passion for working with leather has always been a constant. After taking a long break from this craft, I rekindled my love for it a couple of years ago when I resumed making fixed blades.

Jens, thanks for another very interesting video. I enjoyed it. The sheath looks very nice. I'm sure the final version will be even nicer. BTW, in English, the leather piece to protect the stitching from the knife edge, you're calling a "cutting edge", is called a welt.

Thanks Rick....glad you enjoyed the episode...and thanks for broadening my vocabulary...I do recall the word welt form some of the knife making books I have read in the past but apparently it never stuck.

I am afraid I can't give you any answers right now as I had to postpone the project abit to focus on other projects....I hope to be able to have the first available on my site in early 2024 and price is yet to be determined.
