HOW TO MAKE A LIGHT UP CAMPING BUCKET WITH CRICUT

In this video I'm sharing how to use your Cricut machine to cut out a design using permanent vinyl to add to a bucket making it into a camping bucket. I added lights inside which makes it so fun! Love this idea..... For sticker removal I use nail polish remover that contains acetone xx

To get the stickers off easier, use very fine grit sandpaper 400 or finer and keep it wet. Keep it wet us key. Sticker comes off minimal abrasion.

Goo Gone takes off stickers. It is all I use. If you do not have that, any citrus will work. The bucket with the light is a very cool idea.

Use a hair dryer to heat the glue on the back of the sticker it will come off so much easier. Very cool idea great job

I made this some years ago for my daughters Girl Scout camping trip. They called it a sit-upon.. lol. We added padding to the lid to make it a comfy seat. I wish we had this idea back then to add the vinyl and the light! LOVE this.

@@teresamckeown5594 Same! Lol I’m making 4 buckets for my Grandloves when we go camping. I thought they’d get a kick out of each having a remote and changing the colors. I’m going to put a saying on one side, and their name on the other. And I’m ordering round pillows for the tops! :) It would be so easy to just make the cushions if you can sew, but I cannot. I’m lucky if I can reattach a button. Haha 😂

To get the warning label off I soaked a paper towel with mineral spirits and laid it on the label for a few minutes. I peeled off pieces of label that was easy to remove. I repeated this till all of the label was off. It took about 7 minutes and 3 separate attempts. The round label, I didn't need anything but my finger nail. If only the top part of label comes off, try another section and pull gently in a rolling fashion.

Hey lady, Just read that 3% peroxide will remove labels. Apply peroxide wait 10 min an remove. I have not tried it but plan to. Thanks for the bucket idea. idea. Best regards

Great idea! This could be a fun project to do with my grandchildren. They can choose their own theme... storing toys for the beach, , or pool , or camping. Love these idea if a padded seat for the lid.

So cute! I use dish detergent and/or canola oil or olive oil to remove stickers. I just bought some waterproof light pucks on amazon and used Lysol wipe containers (I am sure everyone has a few of those around atm) for durable patio lights. So next will definitely be a bucket.

The safety label in Canada is a thermal print directly into the plastic. I have tried may thing to remove it. Anyone have any ideas?

For the sticker, I put a hot, wet towel on the sticker, scraped the sticker off. It left a sticky residue so my husband went to the garage and brought me 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. It worked like a charm.

Hi Kayla, my husband got the same sticker off my bucket with a heat gun so I tried it with my blow dryer and it’s super easy to get off in seconds!

warm water and a little bit of laundry detergent shake well in a spray bottle or soak a towel just make sure it's mixed well works on all kinds of stickers. Just spray or soak the stickers for maybe 2-5 minutes and they should come right off.

I usually just use a blow dryer and heat up the sticker and sometimes you you can duct tape and put it over thinner stickers that seem to be tougher to get off and it helps it to peel off once it's warmed up.

I actually ordered these from someone that made them before I got my cricut and she used Velcro to stick it to the bottom of the bucket, I’m assuming it would work to stick it to the lid too! Love these buckets!
