For this jacket, I adapted my shirt measurement which I used in this Ankara inspired shirt video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4LGn4driZKceq8 and I flared it out, waist to hip to bottom.

i dont understand how many inches allowance do you add to your front fabric before you cut it. the back cutting is clear, only the front confused me.

No detailed explanation on measurements used (like the pocket), placing the pocket on fabric (wat inches from the shoulder). And how did u draft the basic patterns.?
@ciscastitches7 жыл бұрын
+Amina Ahmed Hi, your pocket dimensions is determined by you, so your hands can fit in. You also determine where you want your pocket to be. Though I placed mine a little lower than my hip area (top of pocket)

What is the name of the interlining.
@ciscastitches6 жыл бұрын
Its called "airstay" in the Local market in Nigeria but it is also called fusible interlining because you can fuse it with your fabric by ironing..

Very nice video Cisca Stitches & Design. In fact the first time I would hear/watch anyone used the "stay" linen. Please are you in UK? Where do you think I can get to buy the linen, the "stay" from? I may not get the spelling of the "stay" you mentioned right, but I mean the linen you ironed on the jacket pieces in this video. Please let me know.

Its called Interfacing. You can get it in most of the Herbadashery stores. Range, Dunelm, Hobbycraft, John Lewis have all got it.
