How to make a loft lift

When welding zinc coated metal be sure to avoid letting the fumes waft up into your mask like they did. It could cause metal fume fever which can be quite bad for some people. Otherwise great build! Very clean

I knew someone was going to comment on that. What you cant see is that I'm wearing a respirator under my hood when welding the tracks to the frame. Also, I ground off the coating in the spots that were to be welded

What's the thickness of metal tubes you used to build the carriage?

1/8" thick tubes. They're all 1.5" diameter except for the main rails and rear tube of the platform, those are all 2"
