So do you always use a white base for these cups? Also, if I want different colors, should I always include the white and/or black for best marbling effect? And for glitters, is it best to always use a fine and a chunky or does it make a difference at all? Thanks!

How long do you have to work with the epoxy on the cup before it is beyond the workable stage?
@GLITTAFULLLC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shawna! Each brand has different resin types and work times. So this is a very hard question to answer per say but I’ll break it down as best as I can. General epoxy work time could be 20-30 minutes before it starts to cure and harden Fast Set epoxy which is created by many brands can begin to harden in like 5-15 minutes depending on how much epoxy you are working on. I’ve had a full batch start to smoke and harden in 7 minutes! I hope I answered your question. If you have more DM on Facebook or Insta

What do you recommend I do if my cup is a little tacky after it’s completed? I tried some rubbing alcohol. Should I epoxy it again?
@GLITTAFULLLC5 жыл бұрын
The safest thing to do is to sand down that layer and re-epoxy. The layer underneath will never actually set and will compromise your design and safety of the cup. Hope this helps let me know if you have any further questions

It’s a floral insert. At the time I used a grill rotisserie motor, so I kept the prong attachment and it held the floral insert centered and leveled. It was a whole lot better than the footballs in my opinion.

It took me two days. One to make the design and let dry and the second to add the decals and let dry. Then you should wait the curing time based on your epoxy brand. Mine is 48 hours.

You want to leave it spinning for 6-8 hours. Remove and let hang dry for the rest of the curing time full 48.

Please please please wear a respirator when working with the epoxy. Even if you have shown no signs of allergic reaction, the fumes can cause permanent damage to your lungs and airways. And you wouldn't even know it until years down-the-line. Please tell all of your viewers to also wear a respirator. We love you guys and want to have you around for a very long time!

@GLITTAFULLLC5 жыл бұрын
Michelle Polito-Gerber Hey!! Thank you so much 😊. This particular design without any decal is ready to go once cured. If your going to add a decal then you would do a final layer of epoxy just for the sake of sealing in the decal. You’re going to have so much fun with this design! I promise. When you purchase resin, make sure it does not contain VOC's.
@stephaniecobb31385 жыл бұрын
I use Art Resin it is so much better on my health then the amazing clear cast. it contains no VOC's, I am no longer having trouble breathing and my skin is not irritated. My biggest issues was my eyes were constantly itching and on fire and they are not anymore since I switched.
