Personally, I like to use a neutral colour, not too dark nor light. I use darker markings and sometimes put darker elements for the eyes, above darker and below lighter, using the eye markings and under eye markings; sometimes I make the ears the darkest colour. I almost ALWAYS use a simple, black nose and nostril marking. 💛

I'm one for basing my morphs off of reference images: no fancy fades, colors, etc. I also typically develop a shell of a back story to fit their design as well. Especially if I know I'm going to be using these morphs a lot, developing their personality can make the morphs feel more alive and more easily changed depending on the roleplay.

Personally I go for more of a realism style, often using photos for reference, no unrealistic fades, markings, or eye colors. As well as not using unnecessary ear shapes or patterns. I prefer simple though alluring.

It's honestly hard to find an ACTUALLY realistic morph in wcue with realistic markings and colours etc., most people just seem to think that the more complex the better the morph is but it's not the case

Whenever I make my morphs, I usually stay in Standard and make the cat one entire color. That allows me to make quick adjustments if I needed before adding markings and other small details to get the type of look I want before going in and coloring it. Then, when I feel as if the morph is how I want it, I use the paint area and make adjustments where is needed and also allows for me to make the morph look better rather than it being plain.

the way I've gotten used to making morphs is I have a basic breed, pelt color, or random color palette from google on my mind, and I go from the top of the marking list thingy to the bottom, then I put on the color, then accessories, sometimes I might put colors on the ears or legs first so I remember what colors I'm using and have easy access to them. The best thing to do for me is USE REFERENCE! This is easier on computer because you can switch back and forth without closing the game, but it helps me a lot! It’s great if you want certain breed looks, ideas, and pictures to take colors/reference from. Hope I helped!

and in mobile/tablet/iPhone/iPad you can put the picture/reference on a different device and work , me personally plays on a iPad cause my laptop lags in it and Of Course my laptop doesn't lag when putting on a picture so that is an another technique .

Honestly , I struggle at the “choosing a colour palette” part. For example , I wanted to make a peachy / fawn-ish colours , so I pulled up a Google search and saw what I wanted to see. But then , choosing the colours in game, there are colours that are pretty and stand out, and then there is some that are questionable. Also another aspect I struggle with is accessorising. Not really, but because I don’t own very many gamepasses , I have to keep making the accessories the same and it gets boring. I do hope of getting gamepasses, but since my parents strictly don’t allow me to spend money on the games, even if it’s with my own money. So I have to save and by the time I save enough, they literally go off sale. Its frustrating because all the gamepasses are so pretty- sometimes I get pretty jealous of people who have them. But in the end of the day, everyone has they’re own opinion on their morphs. 😩

Since everyone is telling how they do morphs, I’m going to tell mine. My style of morphs I would say it either very repetitive or very drastically different. My repetitive style is a ear to hind fade then another fade on the tail and sometimes the legs (it feels like I always have to do this). Although I absolutely love simplistic and realistic morphs, I just don’t know how to make them look good since I can never get out of the habit of full body fades. If somebody has any idea of me trying to get out of my comfort zone, highly appreciated. Anyways I usually base the colour of my mood, blue / grey meaning I don’t feel that up too it but I want make a morph. Colourful or a cat that has more than 1 colour / shade of colour, I feel mostly creative or trying something new since I usually don’t do them! Sometimes I want to make a morph but I just have no idea what to do, if I do have an idea in mind, for example a colour, I might go to Pinterest or safari to look for references. If I have no idea at all, I usually go to this website that is like a warrior cat name generator and base it off that! I hope this helped in some way or another.

Also remember that you don't need gamepasses to make a good morph. I've seen plenty of people who have great morphs without usinga single robux. I'm one of the people who don't use game passes and I'm proud of the morphs I've managed to make. You don't need to compare your work to others. You may have slow progress. But you're ahead of people who aren't trying at all.

For my colors, I tend to drift to cooler tones, I like the feel it gives off, and idea to mix up you characters is to have the color pallets give off an opposing feel, then the genuine personality of you characters. I do this with my evil cats more An example of this is a low energy, sleepy character with bright, ginger, golds and creams, or an energetic, bouncy character with more calm greys, blacks and blues.

A little bit of lore on my newest wcue oc! : D (TW:blood, death and gore). Meet thymestar, a light cream with light green eyes and brown markings. *Inhales cutely*. She is the current leader of riverclan. She used to be a energetic and caring cat. Before her lover blazingblue passed into StarClan. She had always thought their leader, marlinstar, was acting a little bit weird. After their old deputy died of unknown causes, she was chosen to be deputy. She lead a border patrol to guard the windclan border, they saw marlinstar sitting with what looked like a rouge. The rouge had given him death berries. The patrol asked him who they were for, it took a few hours, but he finally cracked. They were supposed to be for her, he wanted to kill off his deputy, her. Blazingblue wondered why the patrol wasn't back yet, he walked out to the bridge and he saw marlinstar pinning thymefur to the ground, about to kill her. She pushed marlinstar off of her and he lounged at blazingblue, he had large wounds. She dragged him back to camp, blood spilling over her pelt. At the medicine den, she layer with him for what pelt like seasons, until his heart just...stopped. Some notes: don't judge if this is terrible I wrote it off a roleplay. Also it's my first actual lore page

I have a very very special way of making morphs. First I make a really pretty name I like (e.g: pearl’feather) then I think of what cat would suite the name. Like pearl’feather, I would make the cat have white fur and light markings. I start with the colour, then the accessories, then fur, and lastly markings.

How to colour braided stripes on mobile. (From sm1 using mobile) 1. Go to settings ingame 2. Select full pallete on simple colouring 3. Rejoin server 4. Go to simple colouring and scroll to markings 5. Colour the markings whatever colour And your done!

hello valk! i made some morph like a inspo too. its like a silver-fawny color and she have ear tufts finally (i got too much morphs with curled ears bc its my fav too) and i used the fall laurel crown and color it in white. i putted the pumpkin vines (i missed all badges which was 2022 or this year so now i only got halloween badges💀) and i just putted the cape and body stripe on torso LOL. i putted the normal muzzle bc i dont wanna make my morph to be wild and give her a mane to be fat...i mean i have some ,,Longhairs'' but i like shorthairs more than longhairs LOL! btw when i want my morph to be cute then i use this: folded ears, fall tiara, short muzzle, heavy eyes, under eye lashes and ground cherry earpieces! :) (btw i think the star vine set is actually coming back in 24.12.2023!😸i cant wait! *in 17.12.2023 will come out my dream items!*

Here is also a tip if you don’t know what type of morph you want to do just search up some cats and use it has your reference or a plant i used a mushroom and made my morph a ginger long hair with white spotting with bright yellow eyes this oc of mine is a trans she-cat and she also only has full white for her mane and tail her name is also Mushroom’Leaf

Tysm! I could! But here is an imaginary explanation of it: let’s say that there is an imaginary segment that is completely coloured in brown. Now half that segment so it’s two different sections. I’m going to keep the top section the same brown, but the bottom section will be orange. Now, I’m going to give the top one orange stripes and the bottom one brown stripes. These stripes are thick, and therefore make it hard to tell the difference between which is the segment’s colour and which is the stripes’ colour. Therefore it creates an illusion effect. That is the ‘Zebra Fade’. The colours are more so fading in terms of colour differences, but that’s the jist of it. Is that easy to understand or have I confused you more? Basically, the lower segment’s stripes copy the top’s main colour and the top’s stripes copy the lower’s main colour. It’s illusionary.

Glinting at the darkness of the bright ’moon‘, she would gaze around. Her ears twitching with much curiosity, her fur bristled at the sound of padding. The cold, large pitter-patter noises got closer, she peered nearer too see a well-built, lean black and brown tom with purple eyes. Assumably her father. She would give a small sound, signalling that she was there. In the total, glinting darkness, the tom would stare at her before giving a warm smile. He picked her up, she would kick around, trashing here and there before sighing. Accepting what happened. the tom padded in a den, the smell of poppies that made her sleepy. she would jolt herself awake, staring at a feline. Her pelt was a bright yellow, her pelt missing a patch of fur and she had poppies attached to her ears. ``little moon/kit has opened her eyes, dear.`` he would give the opposing yellow she-cat a lick on the cheek gently, dropping down moon/kit was she landed on her fours. Dw, it’s not a game pass. It’s the advanced colouring setting enabled in my game. You can add this setting through the settings bar. But other than that, all these colours are available for everybody. I don’t see how I would have any more than usual.

valk, how much gamepasses do u have? u literally have more gamepasses than me, BUT I DONT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY SMTH. im late to buy november accecerriors.i got some badge star collar (idk the name) and fall pumkin branch on the legs..and some player litteraly made me cry bc he showed me how he got gamepasses what i love (november accecerriors, pumkin hunter, pumkin vines, star vines, lovely earpiece...) i dunno, but i guess it cmes all for 9 days so im not sad anymore

Gamepasses don't really matter, so don't feel down if you don't have them! Trust me, it's an addictive trap... you can never satisfy yourself. Be happy with the simple accessories you have

Honestly this is my opinion, but I don't think we should the accessories, they are unrealistic unless your a kittypet. It is weird to have accessories as a wild cat/clan cat.
