How many of you are self isolating? I have been a fair bit. Other than the Apocalypse driving me nuts, I really enjoyed making this pouch, though I'm contractually obligated to say that I think.

Beautiful work! I enjoy how transparent you are with your mistakes and challenges as you work through your projects. Often when making a project, that is how things go (in my world anyway!) It's good to see how you overcome them and end up with a great looking piece!
@ApolloSZ4 жыл бұрын
That look awesome as always. I like that you included the mistakes and redo's, it helps show just how much goes in to making your patterns. Also this helps me look more at putting 'gems' or glass into a project, seeing it done there, makes it look way more simple and understandable that it was for me.

6:33 why don’t you use the fibings edge cote for your edges? I have used it for years. To be honest I had never heard of the one you used. But then you did say it was new to the US.
@DarkHorseWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
I'm not really sure why I've never bothered with it, just get in that "this works why change" mentality I guess.
@RyanReadsStories4 жыл бұрын
Edge Kote is a paint. It is primarily used on materials that are difficult to burnish. Like chrome tan. Since Magnus uses almost exclusively veg tan. Why would he bother? Wax and gum trag or Tokonole already give you a perfect edge that will never peel or erode the way that edge kote can.

I really love this whole design, from the drawstring to the cabochon to the carving... it's very, very beautiful. Does the pattern have all holes marked for punching? Thanks Magnus.
@DarkHorseWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
It has guidelines for stitching and holes for punching. But not individual stitching holes since that can chaange so much depending on what people are using.

Great video. That sewing machine though how much of a game changer is that? Loving the airbrush. I’m still struggling with bevelling. I can really mess up a project with my bevelling. Gonna browse Etsy now for your patterns.

I have some sales on my website. I'm trying to get away from etsy but it's tough. Check out www.darkhorseworkshop.com in the future. I bought that sewing machine when I got a job doing props for Arrow for a bit, it was a necessity. It took me a few years to realize it could tear through all sorts of stuff and not just softer leather.

Dark Horse Workshop my husband ordering the pattern now. Also your leaping wolf as I’m gonna make this bag with the leaping wolf. sorry but not a fan of this video tutorial becuz it does not match the pattern you sell and your video skips steps so quickly. i cant figure out how to hand stitch the back piece and pouch properly as the holes dont line up properly.i wish instead you would make another video using your pattern as u sell and take your time to slow down on the video as certain steps are a fraction of a second which are critical, especially that part where you messed up. again thx for the video, i encourage you to slow the video down or add more time so we can clearly see, so we can follow along better.
