I don't know if you will see this comment since this tutorial is over a year old, in2017 I was diagnosed with cancer and after my surgery, I became very depressed while I was browsing youtube I came across a video you made of a floating necklace and I decided to give it a try, it was the therapy I needed for my recovery, I love making jewelry for family and friends, I enjoy your tutorials very much, thank you!

Hi Margaret, Here's a version on Etsy that is slightly smaller than the one we used: www.etsy.com/listing/500405468/silver-honey-bee-bead-tierracast-insect?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bumble+bee+bead&ref=sr_gallery-1-24&organic_search_click=1 And here's one that's slightly bigger: www.etsy.com/listing/766683661/silver-pewter-honey-bee-bead-23mm-x-13mm?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bee+bead&ref=sr_gallery-4-16&organic_search_click=1 Etsy is a great place for specialty beads like this, if you haven’t shopped there before. We buy lots of jewelry supplies from different shops there! If you feel like searching more, try different combinations of the search terms “bee spacer bead” “bumble bee bead” bumble bee spacer bead.” Hope that helps! Jennifer & Kitty

Very pretty design! I have a question that I’m hoping you can answer. I heard you say that you laid out the beads in order to figure out your pattern, which was how you realized that if you repeated the pattern with one tube bead, then the beads lined up too well, so you adjusted it to three tube beads. Would you please consider making a video to teach us how to lay out beads for making a memory wire bracelet? I’ve never been able to figure out how to get my pattern repeats to end to make it symmetrical (at the beginning and end) unless I go by “trial and error,” which ends up taking forever because I’m constantly taking everything off to add beads or subtract beads, depending on the outcome. There has to be a better way to do it, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Thank you in advance!

Great comment Sharon! Laying out the design can be very challenging. We do some trial and error. When when we find a complete loop design that works, we sketch it and are able to puzzle out the rest of the loops to get the right layers as the beads go around. We have a drawing of this design on our blog and you can see the rhythm of the beads and repeating sections. runningwithsisters.com/memory-wire-bracelet-with-bumble-bee/ Nice suggestion to show the layout process! Is that flat or round wire ? What gauge is it please
@TheONeilSisters4 жыл бұрын
Hi Maureen, The memory wire is round. The size is large, but that refers to the diameter, 60mm. Here's the written how-to with links to the materials we used: runningwithsisters.com/memory-wire-bracelet-with-bumble-bee/ Hope that helps! Jennifer & Kitty
