You are a genius!!! I worked a hat 3 times and because of the "gap" I cut and tied every color change! It took an entire day to weave ends and trim. The second hat I made I crocheted face pieces to stitch on. Can't wait to try your way!!

Thank you sharing this. One of my grandsons is 5, & loves Minecraft, so he will love this beanie.

Thanks for this! I am going to tweak it a little with using double strands and only wrapping once. I don't like the look of using one strand and doing 1 over 2. I am also going to do a black brim.

My daughter is trying to make this for her little brother. This is her first project and she is confused on how to adapt it to the children's pattern in the link. Do you simply wrap only around the corresponding peg where black is shown on the diagram? For example, the first peg wrapped in black would be #3 only on row 18 and then again wrap #7 on that row and just sew through the other pegs? If anyone could help I would really appreciate it!!

What you do with the loose yarn inside the hat? And the link for the pattern is not working. Thanks for sharing.

That is so clever how did you come up with that pattern?

Can you provide the details for the child/teenage size? The links you provided are not working.

Is there a reason for doing three rows on the pegs? I use a thicker yarn for my hats and doing the three loops a peg is ridiculously hard. If I did the same patteren but only did two loops around would it be the same?
@americanknitter9 жыл бұрын
You can do 2 loops, but you will have gaps in your work, unless you're using a thick yarn.

I have a question do you count the rows till you get 14 or when you get your first row you do 14
@rachelbailey17267 жыл бұрын
This is great! You should make another video soon.

You do the first three rows then say to do 14 more which brings you to a total of 17 rows. Then, you say to do another 3 rows. According to your pattern on your site, the Creeper face begins on row 18. Did I misunderstand the video? I'm trying to make this for my son so I'm using the 36 peg loom.

Super cute design but the volume was so low! Just something for another video maybe because it was really hard following along when I couldn't hear :)
@americanknitter9 жыл бұрын
I'm listening to it now and it seems loud enough. Is it possibly a setting on your computer?
@duckiejen9 жыл бұрын
I have to agree, the volume is really low. I always have to adjust the volume of whatever computer I am using to be able to hear this video well. Then I have to remember to make sure to turn it down again or I get blasted by the sound. :\

Where did you buy the yarn? And what are the color names? I hope you remember the names if not I can probably find them as long as you remember where you got the colors.
@americanknitter5 жыл бұрын
It's been a long time. I don't have the yarn color names, but they were from Walmart. Green & black.
@lydiadelay59605 жыл бұрын
americanknitter I understand and I can probably find them even though you said you don’t remember the color names. Thanks for letting know where you got them.
