How to make a mobile phone Tripod using PVC pipes

Hello guys, this DIY tutorial is about making a mobile phone Tripod. This 3 in 1 tripod is mostly made from PVC pipes . Also this phone holder has all the functions of a commercial tripod with some unique features. I have used PVC pipes and other fitting throughout the construction and less durable materials like pop sticks (ice cream sticks) are completely avoided.
The tripod twist unlock mechanism, car phone mount feature, selfie stick feature and the Bluetooth shutter wristband are the key aspects of this project. The tripod unlocking design was the one which took a lot of effort. As we could see in the normal commercial tripods, the legs are just a one point hinged support. This however could easily be toppled over with any accidental movement while use. Since the legs could be only unfolded with the rotating mechanism my design totally toppling & provides a much more stable & stronger base. . The car phone mount on the other hand provides hands free experience for car users. Since all the movements of the tripod could be accessed during the car mount, vloging within the car is much more convenient. Seems a bit interesting right? Haa, true😁. The thing is that, i don't have a proper holding rig to cut stuff, so was struggling to cut smaller pieces perfectly. Anyhow i was going too slow while cutting and the video was speeded up, so im somehow in a safer side 😁 Thank you for your comment, and luckly im in one of the finest research setup in Asia and exploring a lot each day in prototyping and stuff. So startup is in my mind☺️

Okay, i didn't used screws in this project and all are bolts The thinner bolts that used in the project, are of two types, one with half inch length & another one with 1.5 inch length. Both of them are of 2.86mm thickness. However we can't get the exact length for the bolt since it depends lot of non defined factors and we could one come to a length once doing the project. So i often used a strong wire cutter to cut the bolts to the required length. The larger bolts, used on the upper side are of about 7 mm thickness and a length of 5cm. As mentioned earlier, the length is not fixed and we need to cut it accordingly.

This really is the long way around, the materials absolutely came from china anyway so just order a finished product. While I admire your ingenuity, even with chinese levels of R&D it's still miles ahead of this.

Totally agree with you, this is indeed a long way around and not at all comparable with a commercial one. My aim was to build something a bit more useful and reliable when compared to other DIY tripods. However I'm not sure I have succeeded in it or not.
