How to make a Modern Italian Mass flower arrangement - HOW TO ARRANGE FLOWERS IN FOAM

This weeks design is known as a Modern Mass or an Italian Mass and differs from other types of arrangements as all the flowers are grouped together to emphasis colour and texture to create a mass of flowers.
This arrangement follows patterns and structure to make a formal design where the container is an important integral part of the arrangement. This style is fantastic for competition work, interpretive flower arrangement and will make a real statement piece as for of a display.

Hi Margareth, many thanks for commenting. I tend to think of bouquets as florists work, so I don't tend to teach floristry as its more involved than flower arranging for the home. But I'll certainly consider an arrangement in a cascade style.

Hi Frances, Ikebana is a real challenge for me as I have never learnt to arrange in this style. Its a completely different style of arranging that has lots of symbolic and cultural meaning, I don't think I would do it any justice!
