How to Make a MOLDUGA from BREATH of the WILD / Polymer Clay

North of the Border

Күн бұрын

This time I take on my biggest Legend of Zelda monster yet: a molduga! Of course, I've made a dozen polymer clay Link's, but this time I went with the sassiest armor set in Breath of the Wild: the Gerudo Outfit. And there's a little Sheika bomb for good measure, obviously.
And yes, I realize I keep calling it the Desert Voe outfit when it's really the Gerudo outfit

I love the diorama scene! The creatures that dig and burrow to hunt are always the scariest in media like film and videogames. Can you build a graboid from Tremors? They've been one of my favorite movie monster designs.

What clay do you use? I use DAS -red garbage...you have 5 mins before it starts to harden, if you use a little water it turns to goop then when you roll and mix it the clay sticks to your fingers. I use to use this cheap white clay from walmart and it sculptid great.

There are so many ASMR style channels who make modelling look easy. It's really nice to have someone talk about how tough it can be and how it isn't always perfect. Honestly. I feel like I am bad at modelling sometimes because I don't usually get it right on the first go. It's motivating to see someone discuss having issues in the making of the models and still have a beautiful piece by the end. Inspiring, truly. I am going to have to binge your whole channel. Thank you for the motivation.

Freaking incredible fam! I’ve been wondering this ever since I found your stuff, but what do you do with these when you finish them? Do you have space to put all of the things you make, do you sell them, etc.; what happens to them?

I try and sell what I can do help cover the costs of more materials, and the rest sit on whatever shelf space I have left over (which is an ever dwindly commodity in a small Scottish flat)

i love moldugas, they're probably my favorite enemy in the game. when i first got the quest to kill one for its guts i was really nervous, the npc made it sound really scary, but then i figured out the trick to killing them and now i go fight them just for fun

I will never stop being impressed that Adam can make things as such small scales. I definitely could not do these sorts of things. I'm not even sure I could do 1:12 properly. He's just brilliant, and his paint jobs are always on point.

Seeing how good the rocky texture of the scales look, I would love to see it implemented in a Dodogama (from Monster Hunter) model. He is such a precious boy, and I think he would fit great with your style.
