1. Name: Place your name at the top in the largest font size. It’s the most critical piece of information. 2. Physical Characteristics: Include height, hair color, and eye color. Optionally, add your pronouns and race/ethnicity. Weight is outdated and unnecessary. 3. Contact Information: • If you’re not represented by an agent, list your phone number and email for callbacks and bookings. • If you have an agent, include your agent’s contact details instead. 4. Theatrical Credits: Format each role as Show Title - Role - Production Company (e.g., The Little Mermaid - Ariel - Huntsman Entertainment). Highlight awards or nominations with an asterisk and include a key at the bottom. 5. Recordings (Optional): If applicable, list recordings as Project Name - Song Title - Composer(s) for musical demos or theatrical recordings. 6. Training: List individuals you’ve studied with and their expertise (e.g., vocal coach, acting instructor, dance teacher). 7. Special Skills: Include skills beyond singing, dancing, and acting (e.g., dialects, accents, athletic abilities, or unique talents like riding wheeled shoes or crocheting). Even everyday skills count. 8. Master Classes and Intensives (Optional): Highlight programs or workshops you’ve attended to show your commitment to growth.

If I want to include showcase performances, where should I put those on my resume?

I am confused on how to get the document formatted like that :( Can anyone recommend a tutorial for setting up the page formatting itself? This is insanely helpful I just don't understand how to start

Mine is done on a blank Google Doc! I played around with different fonts, spacing, italics/underlines, and lines to create what you see in this video :)

I was having so much trouble with this too! I tried making them into columns but it wasn't working the way I wanted it to. I ended up just making three text boxes and choosing "no outline" in the format. For more specifics I just googled how to get rid of the borders of the text box on word (I'm sure it works the same for google docs though if that's what you're using). Then I was just able to go column by column within each different text box and it looks about the same and no one would know the difference.

I recommend doing this in a 3-column TABLE or spreadsheet. You can insert a table into a Google or Word doc. That way all of your credits for each show line up and stay in order. If you want to add or subtract one, you don't disrupt the entire document.

Hi! I’ve seen resumes generally have a picture of you basically, it doesn’t go here or would it be optional? BY THE WAY, I was wondering if you could make a video about HOW a musical theater audition is? I’ve seen things about having a printed pro photo of you and having a music score for the audition but anything makes sense to me 🥲 I only have film acting experience, so that would be really helpful 🫶🏼

If I am a senior in highschool planning to audition for professional shows next year, should I include my highschool productions or leave them off? Also how do people get an agent/agency?
