This looks great, does the bottom hold well? I would have my doubts as if that one thread breaks so does the whole bottom. What about if you took the 'mirror' ones from each layer and tied them together before retying them to the same layer again to secure it?

What size cord do you use?
@khanhlinhnguyen28035 жыл бұрын
Hello, if I'm doing the braided handle then I have to measure the strands to be around 3m each?
@bobbiebrian69275 жыл бұрын
also what would the measurements be for US instead of the metric unit and what type of string or cording did you use?

How big is the bag? How strong? What is the thickness of the cord? Why would you make the strands so long, when you end up cutting off over half of them at the end?
@prettylittlecharm3 жыл бұрын
Ηello tyrroo , thank you for taking the time to leave this comment, questions like these should be answered. So, the bag can be as long as you like , I have made many bags around 30 to 40 cm long and some even longer (75cm) . Mine were about 20 -35 cm wide , but if you put things inside they open up to more than 40-50cm because of the elasticity of the cords ... Regardless of the thickness - the diameter - of the cord , the knots re-enforce the structure so you won't have a problem.. But if you are wondering , the cord that I used is around 0,6mm. And at the end , as I have also done in many bags, you can leave the cords that are left, as fringes . But also if you know exactly the length you wanna go for then make the strands smaller from the beginning. I hope I answered your questions , if not , do not hesitate to contact me . Anna

I bought it from a shop that sells wools and yarns but I think that any store that has sewing or knitting supplies should have it

Where is the video on making the string bag in the beginning & end of video w handles/straps made from cord instead of wooden rings?
@prettylittlecharm5 жыл бұрын
Aw yes, you are right!! It's actually the same technic, with a slightly different beginning. I could try and make a tutorial on this version as well!!

@@prettylittlecharm please do , I also think that version is cooler, and more conviniend as all you need is rope. Do you have any links where you learned that from because I want to try it ass soon as possible xD it's so cool...thank you

@@Blitvarka93 Yes you are right I haven't thought of it that way!! My grandmother taught me how to knit it, so unfortunately I have no video to recommend. But since you are in a hurry I could try and find some time tomorrow morning, and make a Live tutorial on Instagram showing how to make the braided handles. Would that work ?
