You just skip the part of resume and quit buttons! Just follow the pause button!

Sir, first thing is that you just gave so many commands just to make a pause menu. Secondly, it didn't work. And third you just wasted my solid 2hrs. With this amount of command we can make a whole game. I am really disappointed.......

If you can make it in less commands, why are you watching this video? Do it with your method! I just showed what's the best I made, and what I think works really well! And it didn't work coz you probably made a mistake! Check your code!
