I thought air dry clay can’t get wet?. How do you put a real plant in there that needs to be watered? Is there a special varnish to use?

yes air dry clay shouldn't get wet after finishing your work!! i'm using clear wood varnish for my clay work it makes them water save and they are a shiny afterwards :3 (i've only varnished clay watercolour pallets yet but it should work perfectly for pots since both hold water)

when you prepared the ball of clay, was it necessary for you to do wedging or kneading of the clay first? Or is it more advisable with air dry clay to do less handling? Secondly, you were going to use this for a plant pot, but most of the advice I keep seeing is that you can't use it for that unless you have a plastic pot inside because the moisture might reactivate the clay. So is it safe to use for plants? Or if I glaze the inside layer, would that be sufficient to keep my pot secure?

hi! is it possible to attach that air dry clay to an existing clay pot that's hard already? because i want to attach legs to the pot i bought 😅

if you let ur clay pot soak in water a bit and get the spots you want to attach the legs on moist enough scratch that parts and the legs and then just combine them use a bit extra clay to get it secure works perfectly with my clay ‹3
