Rasha, thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Its incredibly helpful, especially as someone who also does not have a design background. I'll be submitting MLA applications this fall :) What did you decide about RISD?! I just moved away from PVD in May. Knew many RISD grads/students who liked it. Happy to chat if you want a perspective on living there.

very sweet of you! glad i could be of some help. where are you applying to? i'll be joining you as well & reapplying this year as i ended up declining RISD (after deferring a year). i've actually visited pvd almost a decade back now, as my mother went there for her schooling back in the 80s. very lovely quaint town. i feel it justly compares to montreal. good luck on your applications & would love to keep in touch as you/we prepare our respective applications!

hi rasha! i'm applying to the risd m.arch this year (tomorrow lol) and found this video. i'm a bit confused about the submission guidelines with slideroom and was wondering if you could provide some insight? i know it's short notice and not sure if you'll see this but i figured it was worth a try. thanks :)

hey ben! from what i remember, i had to upload (10) images/slides for the portfolio component of my application. with each image, you then type up the supporting text. since i already made a typical portfolio for other applications, i uploaded (10) separate pages in jpeg/png form and added more project information in the additional textbox (rather than using up 1/10 with a project intro page). hope this is helpful, but pls email me if i can help any more!

Are you applying to UofT's MLA this year again since it's closer to home? I'm in the process of applying and have submitted all my supplementary work other than my portfolio. Kind of scrambling with three days left to the deadline but these are good tips. Congrats on getting accepted into RISD!

hello! no, not this year as i've deferred RISD for this year (i'm due to make my decision soon). however, in the future i will consider reapplying to UofT (as well as RISD and perhaps UBC). i'm glad i could be of some help, good luck!
