To wind the coils around the toroid it is much easier to fold a single wire at its centre so you have a U shape and keep threading the U through the hole .when the desired number of turns are made cut the U to form two windings

with this 12v 21W lamp, joule no longer vibrates, but the lamp glows directly with a 3.7v battery. that is, they are not as effective. the load on the fan is so low that it works well

This is one of a few things I want to show you. I thought it's very cool. Mine can light 36 watt wall plug LEDs with only 2.2 volts when the power supply can't light it at all with 28.8 volts. It's so interesting because it's not a "transformer" with only equal wraps... there's no primary with less windings and no secondary with more windings. I'm fascinated by this circuit. The Joule Theif and Laser Saber's Joule Ringer 3.0. His has a primary and a secondary with many more turns but mine has only the bifilar wrap. But I made a very special kind. It can hold about 100 volts if you use an appropriate capacitor. Yes if you increase the initial voltage the output voltage will increase but l don’t recommend to go far forward.
