My theory is that the closer you get to your previous rank, the less lp you gain. I have a 60% wr total but rn i get like +12/13 lp because im almost my previous rank. While i started off with getting over 20 lp. Its really bullshit but i think that might be how it works..

I had an ACC bronze 4 last season 26% winrate and now that I'm 95% winrate silver 2 after 20 games games i am only gaining 18lp and realize the acc is just doomed because it was b4 last season. I'm gonna keep playing on it to see if the mmr eventually increases but it is still like 1300mmr

This is extremely helpful. You can do this by leveling fully through bots as well, and then doing 10-20 normal games after (As long as you win the normal games).

Would it work if I buy a lvl 30 unranked account online? I recently bought a lvl 30 unranked acc and am gaining 24-25 lp and losing 5-7 lp in gold 3. If I bought another account and did a couple norms games (after the bot games which gets me to 30 in the first place) would my mmr go up even higher?

You don't actually need high elo friends, you just need to perform in solo draft pick games if you have no friends, your mmr will be insane if you're actually good (check whatismymmr.com to see if you have high mmr).

i made a new account in december with 4 of my friends who are low plat and im d4 but havent played much at that time, we leveled up played arams normals and with bots before getting lvl 30 we were playing against challengers in normal draft/blind mode, after my first win in placement match i got silver 1 00lp

On Thai server there was an friend inviting event which just play around 10 game you will 30 and can play rank so i started new account and after placement i got plat2 and the lp gain is around +30 -7

Yo, my handleveled was pretty avg mmr was like 60% wr and wasnt anything higher then plat and it started like Bronze 2/1, and its currently D4 and in D4 Im getting +29 / -8, and when it was in P1 +26/-5 ish, its about 70% wr, thats my experience, and below plat its been getting +26/-5, and I'm not sure if its because of the winrate bc im around 50-20 in diamond 4 atm, but yea

Update: for this method to work u HAVE TO duo with a high mmr friend, d4 at least. I had an acc with only 5 games played normals, 4W1L, placed silver 3, so it still works, but if u play with silver/golds even if u played 10 games and won them all its not gonna help

Did it in the current patch (11.6) and placed Silver 3 the first game so I assume it works. Played around 40 normal draft games purely solo with 65% wr facing high diamonds/masters occasionally.

hello everyone i recently made a new account and lvled it up from playing norms and here's what i did to make an account like tarzaned explained. I made this account before watching this video btw. 1.played with friends but mainly silvers-gold 2.rarely played bots because no xp boost and boring 3.i placed bronze 1 in my placements now the highest lp i lost so far is 7 and the most i have gained is 28. i usually lose from 4-7 lp if game is lost. hope this info helped.

How does this even make sense? So what happens if u play normals with ppl that are lower mmr than u and you know, normals are for chill times, having fun, limit testing, practicing and all those goodies, so u might end up losing as much as u are winning, if not more. Does that mean ur mmr is getting shit cause of that? Like, is it reversed?

i think it might affect only the placement matches, maybe the system takes into consideration your normal games mmr in order to give a more exact evaluation of your skill level. No way your normal games mmr would influence your ranked mmr otherwise, it would make 0 sense lol

@Botond Kalo Doesn't make sense cause normal queue and ranked queue are seperate queues, based on your logic if i played normies with a friend that was new or w/e I'd make him play vs high mmr ppl in his soloq games in which I can't even duo with him. New players should get matched vs new or lower mmr players and players that have played soloq in the past should get matched vs similar mmr players from their previous ranked season or something along these lines

@Botond Kalo Maybe I didn't explain it good enough, imo ranked queues should just have their own seperate mmr that doesn't get affected by normal queues or arams or any other type of queue. That's because ranked soloq games are the games that the majority of people playing them take seriously and normal games are the ones you play to have fun and try new stuff. So a new account can start with a default mmr that changes after the placements, an old account will have its mmr affected by the previous season. I hope this is clear enough for you to understand.

assuming not in smurfQ and normal acc, this doesnt apply. riots MMR system is lognterm and doesnt give you a "compensation" like in csgo. example with csgo; if you win 15 in a row, the next loss hurts way more (takeway more MMR, although invisible in csgo) than if you won 1 lost 1

I'm doing normals solo on a level 30 acc. I'm on my 12th game and my normal MMR appears to be ~2200 (it started at 1800 i think) and have been matched with master players too. I'll be hoping into ranked over the weekend.

in the long run yes because low elo means low mmr. you lose with low elo friends then you mmr will drop but if u play with high elo /high mmr friends then your mmr will rise the higher mmr means higher placements and the system will place you higher mmr opposed to rank (tarzaned gold 3 playing with plat/diamond players)and your lp gain loss will be insane.

I guess you won't see this cos it's an old video but i'm a turbo account lvler on EUNE and i play alone 90% of the time. I always get positive scores and win most of my games. By the time im lvl 23, around 80% of my normal games are against diamond-grandmaster players with some plats and challengers sprinkled in. Once i thought i was in a normal low lvl game and i was gonna go cleanse ghost for shits n gigles and some master player threatened me that he will get my account banned. He unironically told what he thought was a lvl 28 player that he will get his accpunt banned. I even have screenshots
