This tutorial was more helpful than the previous one hundred I watched in the last two years. It’s sure I’ll buy your tutorial bundle in a few days. Meanwhile, it would be amazing to have a tutorial for a decent KbBB kick + bassline from scratch (no samples) in F# minor 138 BPM. Many of my favorite tracks have it, probably because a lot of psytrance tracks are in F# minor. For example, Divination - Shot in the Dark, Lyktum - Symmetry, E-Clip - Radio Entelechy, Ilai and Vandeta - Alien Disinformation, Side Effects - Shape Shifter, etc. Another amazing topic would be vocals, such as E-Clip - Indian Spirit, Sonic Entity & Ilai - DMT Perception, Rinkadink - Ultima (Protoculture Remix). This topic would be also great without using samples. Zebra2/ZebraHZ and Omnisphere have a few female vocals that might work if one knows the secrets of processing. If any of these are covered in your tutorial bundle, it’s great. I just found your channel two days ago. Edit: I with the generation of the original wave was included.

@EClipChannel4 жыл бұрын
I prefere ProQ3 as i’m used on it, and it haves linear phase, whoch is really important if you lowcut something and you don’t want to change phase (Ussually for Bassline and Kick) while Equilibrium change a phase a lot, and i use it when i search for phase change and that way to design a bassline. Also i use Equilibrium as it have those two faders Mid and Side, and i use it mosttly when i want to have same level on mid and on side.

Mostlly with dynamic eq, you should see on analyzer when nnotnis changed, it ussualy peak on the note frequency. When you see on what frequency it peaks, you put narrow Q on that frequency and you compress only that freq. if it peaks on second harmonic, than you repeat the proces on that one as well. Much gratitude for sharing your years of knowledge. Really appreciate it. I just wanted to ask, I went ahead and bought the PHA 979 plugin and im using it in ableton, but its introducing so much latency in the chain 46.9ms, its making it hard to work with the plugin to use it. Ableton isn't delay compensating it properly for some reason, even though delay compensation is turned on in ableton live 10. I tried contacting voxengo about it, but they don't seem to care and told me its not the plugins fault, but its only happening within ableton, not Logic. Anyone else experiencing this?
@EClipChannel4 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is the main problem of Ableton, and the reason why I don't use it, as its delay compensation is really bad. I advise you to use the latency knob on the left side of Pha 979 and reduce the latency. You will need some kind of Oscilocope plugin so that you can check how much of latency you should correct. Also, it's really clever after you finish with the processing and all plugins, it's really good to bounce in audio and use audio instead of the Instrument track, while you can keep the instrument track there just in case you need to change some settings later on. That is a really good idea as after some time you can have plenty of different Basses in audio and you can just tweak them and reuse in further tracks

You cannot make everything in the VSTi, as the true magic happens in the processing. All this you saw in the video is not necessary, but I'm am obsessed with making kick and bass to sound perfect, and I promise you that without EQ is not possible to do so.

I’m a bit sad that in a scene that professes to be creative and different we are now making basslines like this. It feels like painting by numbers.

This is not about the creative process, this is the Sound Design process. When you separate those 2 processes, you can be more creative. First, you design your stems, and after that, you go to the creative process. The next video is about that! This video doesn't have anything with creativity.
@Satwamassive4 жыл бұрын
E-Clip I understand what you’re saying but pretty much everyone is using the same or similar patterns these days and my argument is that is lacking in creativity. It’s the reason Simon Posford says he doesn’t produce trance anymore. Because he hates the basslines....and I am just agreeing with him.

Why do you think that it the true what Simon Posford says? If he dont like it, that is hes choice or taste. I do love those bass lines, and it is insane to argue about the taste. You can not pull down my tutorials even if you want, and there is a lot of people who appriciate what i do, and i do it it because i remmeber how frustrated i was and how much time of my life i lost learning all of this that i offer for FREE! Your comment didnt insult me even 1% , and i appriciate your point of view. But all of this is to help youn producers to save their time, and learn fastest as pissible to make nice sound design, and save more time to be creative.
