Thank you very much I built this to make a steel wheel for a wheelbarrow which had deteriorated to the point it needed a rebuild then you came along with this ring roller and I decided it needed a new steel wheel. Thank you for all you do

Great project. Love the castor idea. Very clever to be able to see a useful item within something totally unrelated. A true indicator of ingenuity.

Good video - I like the ingenuity! I was looking at an $80 one from Harbor Freight but you video has inspired me to try to build my own. Truth is, I'm not making parts for the International Space Station so they don't need to be perfect! Enjoying your channel. Thanks for posting!

That's awesome. I've been looking for a simple ring roller. And I already have all the pieces too. This is my next project! Love it. And a good use of those old car jacks too!

Soooo - KZbin suggested I watch this video from 7 years ago (before I started following you). And I found out that Tim has been experimenting with curving steel for a very long time. But since then he has learned to talk too - which I do prefer. Anyway, I can’t get over this ingenuity: how do you make it up?!?!

The past is a spooky place filled with ghosts and naivety - I try to avoid it when I can. But I am revisiting some of these old videos to find ones best suited to the new channel. Perhaps I should look at this one too?
@eckosters3 жыл бұрын
@@WayOutWestx2 I can’t judge what’s best for the new channel especially since I’m the one without tools. But this one mesmerized me. So who knows

I was looking to make one of these the other day but i didn't know what to use for the rollers. THe caster wheels were a great idea although the ones i bought didn't have a nice metal rim like yours, I think it will still work great. now i just have to find a new jack for my truck. great video! gave me the umph i needed to make my own.

That is so cool! Thanks a lot for sharing. I need to make an 88 inch diameter ring using square steel pipe, do you think I can get it done with this jig?
@WayOutWestx26 жыл бұрын
That would depend on the size of the pipe - and the thickness of the walls. But worth a try.

I am needing to make rings of approx 18" and 24" or larger. Is your wizzardry capable of doing that and larger by simply moving the rollers farther apart?
@WayOutWestx29 жыл бұрын
+neal mcconochie Yes, that should be no problem. The smaller the rings, the more tricky it is, so you should be fine (depending on what you're bending, of course). Good luck!
@baronbaronov7608 жыл бұрын
thanks for the answer . I mean the square profile

Your rings should chime better if they are not a complete circle. Make a relief cut so it can vibrate freely.
