+laquez bradley you need a record player preferably one with a built in preamp... from there it goes into a dj mixer... from there it goes into either your computer or into your mpc... i would suggest the mpc renaissance (but it only works with your computer turned on) or i would suggest the mpc 2500... do some research on different machine like the mpcs or the maschine hardware and figure out which one you like the best and which one suits your needs...

+Michael Ben I'm on the 2500 but most likely its 1/4 to 1/8,1/4 to 1/4, or 1/8 to 1/8 split on both ends. Search it or go to you local Sam or Guitar and they got you.

+Michael Ben you need a record player (suggest getting one with a built in preamp) you then connect it to a mixer... (i suggest you get a dj mixer as it shows you the decibels and you can tweak the mids highs and lows)... then it connects into your mpc by 1/4 inch stereo wire... you can also sample right into your computer if you dont have an mpc... you can get a turntable (like the one i have) and it bypasses the preamp and mixer by plugging straight into your computer...

Could you please make an in depth video tutorial as far as chopping samples focusing on the tempo and how you pick your tempos and get your chops to mix with them. Maybe also state whether you chop by beats, like on the 1 or the 2 or how and basically how you make them fit. again not so much trying to see any secrets or anything like that, but more of the technical aspect and you talking us through how you pick your tempo's for the chops and edit them in the xl and make them fit

How do you find the sample's tempo and how do you match it with the global tempo of the project? I always seem to have problems in this part of beat making.

I personally use a tap tempo app on my phone. it works great

This is one of many ways todo it,This is finding the tempo by looping your sample, If your sample has a kick and snare in it then find the 1st kick of a bar that's your downbeat, Now trim up real close to that kick so your hitting right on it when you trigger the sample, Now put your sample in your sequencer on the very 1st beat of the 1st bar, make a simple 2 bar Kick Snare Kick Snare pattern or just snares on the 2 and 4th beats & play the loop & go up or down on your tempo until the sample is lining up with your drum loop, When it does there's your tempo. Usually it won't line up perfectly because human drumming time is off with swing in it, Unless your chopping a electronic sample that was made with no kind of swing & timing is Quantized. You can do that to with a sample with no drums just put the song in the sequencer and turn on your metronome and go up and down on Tempo until you hear the song in sync with the Metronome ⬇️

It don't matter where it comes from as long as it's dope, But the difference KZbin is gonna be compressed processed audio, you can find good rips on KZbin but it's like trying to make a copy of a photo from a copy of that photo it's gonna loose quality, there's more warmth thickness to Vinyl and the actual sound of the needle is the preferred sound for hip-hop or like a cassette or VHS tape or video game coming from the direct source is gonna sound better then KZbin if you process it right since it's the first copy. Whoever uploaded a track to KZbin could of been a great Rip, But KZbin still crushes the audio at some rate, I'm not knocking anybody or KZbin sampling I KZbin sample all the time, I just think audio coming from the direct source sounds the best that's if you tweak it right. Jus my 2 pennies
