Yo for real, this a straight great channel. One of the biggest problems I have is not the actual part of sampling, but the "creative" aspect of it, how to find the sample in a song. This channel is immensely helpful for that.

any small mixer will do, you could also directly plug a turntable into the mpc but it will not sound very good since you'll be missing the preamp of a mixer.

lolllllllll free man... i havent been able to find any information on the mpcx at all... like if it has built in eq/distortion/ring modetc, or if it has options to where it sounds or swings like an old mpc60 etc... i havent been able to find any specs or special features about the product at all... that being said just seeing it i would give it a try. i personally want to buy it... i love my mpc 2000xl but the loading times is so long and i need a machine where i can load up my drum samples fast as to where i dont have to sample the vinyl every time i want to use the drums... also i need to hear the way it acrually sounds... the mpc knocks and is a beast of a machine with the onboard effects... either way when it does come out ill definitely purchase one...

Have you consider putting the MCD [multi card drive] in your 2000XL.?? Being able to use SD cards in it decreases loading times incredibly, AND makes the transferring of files to and from a computer incredibly easy and fast... The X looks good. But there is definitely a lot of info that is not being released... One thing that I do not understand, is if it has a quad core processor, and 2 gigs of ram, why can't the software it runs on, which is the new MPC 2.0, host VST's independant of the computer? Or why it does not at least have a simple 2 OSC bass synth with a few envelopes and filters... If they included just that simple bass synth, like Roland did with the MV series, then you would not need to plug it in to a computer to add a bassline to a beat, which would suit a lot of people... Anyway, it looks good, and I am happy to see Akai are moving in the correct direction... I think I will wait a few years to see what else develops before I jump on it though.. At the moment I have more kit than I can actually use!! I do like the fact that there is CV/Gate included though, as being able to control a few of my hardware synths and sample them all from the one unit is very appealling... Hey yeah, and nice vid btw. I like that you included a little moreof your working process in this one... Keep it up man... I am glad you are alive again... I didn't much like it when you were dead!!!
