Have you ever wondered how quilters get those beautiful quilt labels on the back of their quilts? It's important to label your quilts, because it tells the recipient who made the quilt and it usually also tells the year that the quilt was made.
There are many different techniques and ways of making quilt labels. You can purchase already made quilt labels and use fabric markers on them to fill in your information. You can also use freezer paper to make quilt labels, but my favorite method of making a quilt label is to use my sewing machine.
I like to use the monogram lettering and designs that are pre-loaded on my sewing machine to make my quilt labels. In this video, I show you how I make my quilt labels using this very technique. I am working on a Janome 9400 QCP and using tear away stabilizer. The brand of stabilizer that I am using is Floriani, however, any brand will work.
