Definitely saving this! A couple of things that make you stand out is the fact that you list your cut lengths and how well you describe the steps.

Great video.. I still struggle to make bows and I’ve brought bow makers…🤦🏾♀️ how do you determine the size of the bow? When using the dollar tree frames do you use a “standard size” bow?
@DavesWreathsАй бұрын
Hi there, I have struggled in the past as well, I just kept practicing. So keep at it. It'll come together one day for you. I usually use a standard size bow for wreaths when using the Dollar Tree wreath frame. This bow is a little larger for your Christmas tree or home decor. Thanks.
@mhill457Ай бұрын
Thank you!! This is pretty straight forward and I will use this technique in the near future… practice makes better! I will keep practicing Dave. Thanks again

Hi I love this! Can you make a bow like this with dimensions for a wreath? Thank you
@DavesWreaths29 күн бұрын
Hi there, I have a couple of bow tutorials on my channel that you can use for wreaths. You can just go to my main page and search for "bows" and you should find them. Thank you. 😊
@brendagarland628224 күн бұрын
Dave, I was excited to find an easy way to make a bow with velvet ribbon. I hsve several rolls I purchased years ago. When I was about to attempt to mske this bow, I realized mine is not wired 😢. Will your technique still work
@DavesWreaths23 күн бұрын
HI Benda, thank you. The technique will still work with a non wired ribbon, however, it will not hold up it's shape as well as the wired ribbons do. It also depends on if you like the look of that. Some do love the "floppy" ribbon look, it's very "farmhouse" decor look. If you're looking to get the same results as in the video, I would suggest wired ribbon. And if you prefer the non wired ribbon look, than that will work fine. Hope that helps a bit. 😊

Hi Dave it’s Irene in Ca. I’m interested in making a Christmas Wreath with an 18 in. Wire Wreath from Dollartree but I don’t know how much Mesh/Ribbon/Pipe Cleaners would be needed. Do you have any Videos of 18in. Christmas Wreaths. Thank you 💕
@DavesWreathsАй бұрын
Hi there, unfortunately, I do not have a video for that exactly, but I do have some videos that show me using an 18" wreath for different occasions. I will include one video link that shows the Ruffle method using 10" deco mesh on an 18" frame. You can use that as a base and then decorate with all your Christmas embellishments. Here is the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4utdpKLic50b8Usi=HuX6GcypMLPjRk0t Hope that helps.

I HAVE A 48" Fraiser fir wreath - what proportions would you suggest for the lengths? thank you!!!
@DavesWreathsКүн бұрын
Hi Angela, I would start off my adding 2-4" inches for each piece. Start with the larger length, do not cut the ribbon, and then loop it to make the start of your bow, hold it up against the wreath and see if that is a good length. Measure it out and then cut, each piece after that, I would do 2-4" smaller for your cuts. Hope that helps a bit.
