An absolute killer of a table Chris. You made a great job of that and to have your daughter add her touches to it makes it even more special. And a shout out to your neighbour too for the help. Very cool of him.

You reminded me I promised my wife a dining room table. My bother uses a type of ceramic coating for the cars paints and vinyl wraps. It’s great stuff. Great video and info.

Do you know if that lumber provider in Jacksonville ships? In in SE alabama and can't find any local lumber yards that sell slabs, or even walnut. It's all pine, cedar, or oak

what are your contouring feeds, speeds and depths for baltic birch? I keep burning up end mills in my machine
@AGlimpseInside2 жыл бұрын
What kind of bits are you using first and foremost
I think you aren’t taking enough of a pass. Also the RPM are pretty fast for only going 40 in./min. I typically run .21 depth for the first pass and then five more sequential passes with a eighth of an inch compression bit. Also about 22,000 RPM with 65 inches a minute. And I’m having success with that

Liked the video. It was very encouraging. Stumpy nubs did a similar video and I want to give that a try because slab flattening looks like it would eat up any profit in selling the table. I do have one question not directly related to the build and it’s something I need to get resolved before moving forward . What is your opinion on general and/or product liability insurance? I’ve not heard any makers or woodworkers even mention the subject. Do you have it or know anyone who does? Have you heard of anyone getting sued? Please let me know.
