If the pigment is settling on the bottom, how are you reaching it with your dowel if you are only stirring the top of the epoxy?

Good question! Not all of it settles. Can still make designs. Makes it kind of 3D this way.

You could use the pigment settling to the bottom to your advantage, maybe you could use less pigment at the bottom of the table compared to the top where all of the pigment would have settled?.

Art Director / Character Designer. Very fun to watch! For the photo shoot, the white background worked better imo simply b/c of the pearl white epoxy coloring mixed in the table. The white background brightens the blue and pearl white epoxy some, and makes the colors shine a little brighter. When you shoot with a black background, it oddly darkens the blue epoxy and really separates that pearl white epoxy where it feels too bright and unnatural. My guess is the black background absorbs too much of the light from your primary light sources and isn't bouncing around enough. Especially not hitting that epoxy as much as it could. You may be able to get away with the black background if you have multiple defused lighting around the room. Any case, I also recognize this video was done like... almost exactly one year ago so I'm sure you have a better photography solution now. Keep up the awesome work!

I’m 54 and back in high school I figured out that I enjoyed manual labor. At 16 I took a summer job with a building contractor. We did a lot of roof jobs, house remodels that taught me how to build or redo a house ground up. When I turned 47 I was in a accident. This forced and I do mean FORCED me on disability cause walking became difficult due to nerve damage. We lost our bank savings and I sold everything of value to pay monthly bills and food on table. That only went so far for a year and a half until I got my disability. Now it’s day to day. It never ends. I always enjoyed the carpentry side of what I did for years. Building decks and adding some personal tricks customers seemed to like. Woodworking is the one thing I wish I would’ve pursued more. I could’ve been real good and it would have been something I could’ve done at home. I’m amazed by your talent and enjoy watching a good person succeed. Best wishes from Alabama.

Handyman Business owner inspiring woodworker. The back drops really made a huge difference. The black background brought out the richer dark colors of the wood. The white background made it look a lot softer and made it look lighter in color. I just found your content and have been watching and trying to learn as much as possible. You have inspired me to try the epoxy. It’s on order and will be purchasing a “cookie slab” later in the week and trying my hand in this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. And stay positive my friend nothing but respect. ✌🏽🫶🏽😁

This is so cool. I am a commercial fisherman. I work certain months of the year then have some time off. I think I'm going to start playing with epoxy projects. This is really impressive.

Great video. I'm retired cop from Canada. I'm a teacher and amateur (but making money) videographer. I've been woodworking for years without getting into what I really wanted to build, but I'm loving these tables and epoxy pours. I've rediscovered wood now. Thank you for thorough videos that show the basics and the advanced stuff. I'm a subscriber and a huge fan.

Retired, but looking for inspiration. I feel the white background is best as your tables are quite dark. This table is AMAZING, I love the blue! Thank you for taking the time to film your creations.

Volleyball Coach here, I purchased a slab of wood recently and want to make an epoxy resin table. I found this video to be very informative and inspirational. I wish I would have paid attention better in math class because I feel like there is a lot of math involved in woodwork. Overall, I think that your channel will be a great source of information for my future builds!
