10:50 auto smooth was removed. If using version 4.1 or later go to the wrench where they green thing is, then you add modifier, and search for smooth by angle and out that on 30 degrees. Hope this helps anyone who got stuck like me ❤

a VRChat Blender user here. I'm impressed with the detail and easy guide you set up where you explain everything in detail. When i started off tutorials i found would explain how to move the camera and then just tell me to do a simple bevel w/o telling me the key bind or something. Impressive work for a gentile intro to the software. (i just wish i could have the same old web UI as when i played back then. new gen feels convoluted and all the features i used in the Roblox client have been removed or buried into obscurity) R logo > O logo

From 10:37 to 12:13 I keep messing up because I first don’t even see the normals option and then when I change my viewpoint shading color to texture I don’t even the the face of the block character, rather it turns purple. Can someone help?
