The pot cover should be turned upside down if you want to get too different types or colors of rose water. You turn the pot cover upside down and put ice on top of the cover then as the rose water boils the steam/vapors will turn into water so the steam will be entering inside the small bowl you put at the middle of the pot with the help of the ice on top of the cover,then you get pure white rose water from the steam and get red rose water from the one boiling directly from the pot,i don’t know if I explained it clearly,you can also do more research. Thank you for this- I have heard of this method- I wanted to get the rose color, but I think for other products that you do not want the color changed this will be a great option- I have yet to try this!

@@NessaNicole rose water is a steam distilled process and always has the steps mentioned above. What you made is not rose water, it was rose colored water with most of the good stuff lost in the steam you released. Not only should stop talking about things without knowing enough, just take this misinformed video down. With all due respect, I mean you no harm 🌹

Shelf life will be the shelf life of the preservative usually 12-24 months

Good recipe but I would suggest u try use solubilizer to enable water and oil combine together and finally add cellulose gum to enhance viscosity of your toner .

you can try a solubilizer this helps bring small amounts of oils into water- I hope to do this instead to make it a more high-class product and so my customer will not have to shake it every time

I don't think they use aesthetic varieties to make rose water, rather more natural varieties. Also, many good properties of the roses are lost when you let all that steam escape. Let it cool before messing with it! ♥️

Yes You should try to find pesticide free plants if you plan to use real flowers. I got mine at Trader Joes. They said they don't use any pesticides on their plants!

That’s rose tea , not rose water I’m sry, I have to educate you and everyone else thinking this is rose water, essence of rose, rose hydrosol, which is all the same thing, but that is rose tea... it’s good but not effective as the hydrosol...

It is a formulation and it always has to equal 100% . You measure in grams and need to convert the percent into grams to know how much of each ingredient needed. You will use the same % for any amount of batch you make if its 100g or 100000g batch. If that makes sense. Most preservayives and ingredients will have the usage rate, then the rest of the ingredients it depends on your recipe and what your product is trying to achieve

You need to research the most popular preservatives in the industry such as cap-5, liquid germal plus, Optiphen , phonexethenol (i think thats how you spell that one) . Each preservative is soluble in different ingredients. Some for hair care others for skin and body. I first looked at other brands ingredients and then researched what they do. Thats how you find that majority of ingredients use are the same by different companies if that males sense!?
