Thanks! Your instructions for drawing the pattern are just what I needed. They're clear and easy to follow. What alternative would you suggest if someone doesn't have walnut shells?
@XiaoxiaoYarn Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your generous support! For the filling, I highly recommend you use ground walnut shells if you want your pincushion to last. You can also find them in your local pet stores, although I haven't tested them yet. Otherwise, if you want to make a temporary one, you can use fabric/thread scraps. Or take a small amount of filling from a pillow or cushion and sew them back. :)

I’ve never put a biscornu together this way. I’ve always assembled right side out with a ladder stitch. It makes the shape a bit better than assembling this way.
@XiaoxiaoYarn Жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's always interesting to learn new techniques in the crafting community.💕 Another reason I chose to use back stitches is they hold the fabrics together better, so the crushed walnut shells do not fall out. :)

Hi! Personally, I prefer to draw things myself without using patterned stencils. However, you can find stencils with a 1cm or 0.5cm grid which can speed up your process while still allowing you the fun of drawing. Enjoy your crafting!

Hi, what are the dimensions of the fabric again? You mentioned 16cm but it looks much larger than that
@XiaoxiaoYarn Жыл бұрын
Hi, I might have left the seam allowance a bit bigger, but 16cm is exactly what you need to achieve the final size. 13cm for the asanoha pattern (12+0.5 *2), 0.5*2 for seam, and 1*2 for the seam allowance. Hope this helps. ☺️

to avoid crossing threads at intersection do you slide the needle between the 2 pieces of fabric?
