You were out of the camera frame for a lot of things you were doing. However this was a really detailed tutorial- to prevent paint from cracking in the dots mix epoxy with the paint of your choice not only does it prevent cracking but makes it permanent. Keep up the good work

I love making dominoes!! Have you ever tried to "dry brush" the details? Use a piece of paper towel, put the paint on the domino, then, wipe it away- just using a moist paper towel- Across the face- forcing paint into the debossed areas, as it wipes the flat clean. Hello great! I have my setting at 75* . Do a test with your home before using a lot of epoxy. You may have to adjust your temp cases off the temp of your home and location. To avoid bubbles. I can’t wait to see what you create🥰

Well, you maybe need to work on your recording skills a bit but I got the point. 😅 BTW, have you seen the double walled domino molds? They are expensive, about $35 each, but that shouldn't surprise you. They come in standard and jumbo sizes and you can get some really great looks with layered colors in those molds. You might want to check them out. 😁 Edit: I forgot to say that if you want the flakes to show up you need to put them in a thin layer of clear first, cure them a bit, just until the layer firms a bit but is still tacky, then add the color in the rest of the domino. Might have to do 3 layers if you're still doing decals but the results are worth it. 👍 Edit 2: I also forgot to mention that you can get some cool effects with metalic pen, drawing directly on the mold. It's a great way to color the dots and line too, and it's really stuck in the resin that way. The drawback is that you can't use the baby powder to prevent bubbles but if you're very careful you shouldn't have any trouble. ...I'll stop now, lol.

@@tmacmadeit9707 True, mistakes are actually good sometimes because you occasionally you get cool effects that way. You normally learn your lessons better from mistakes too, or come up with ways to fix things you wouldn't have thought of without trying to fix an expensive mistake, lol. BTW, have you tried the technique of dripping alcohol ink into clear resin right in the mold? It creates such interesting patterns as you drip in different colors and they react to each other. Might be interesting on dominos, though you might need to back it with a decal or a solid color coat depending on the colors you use because you don't want translucent dominos, right? 😅

@@tmacmadeit9707 Oh! I forgot to say that for paint issues like the one you had in this video, you can add a few drops of water to the paint, give it a really good shake and run the paint through a fine strainer to salvage the rest of the paint. Saves you a tiny bit of money on paint.

this is what i can see so far because again it has been a while since i have been in cricut so my experience may be a little off. when you open cricut make sure that the screen is large. go to shapes- select the box. at the top where you size for professional size dominos use h-1.800 and w.800 . anything that you put inside the box make sure that it is within that size. letter wise if you are trying to do a picture print and cut make sure that you do the appropriate print size. i think you can not print larger than a 9x6 or 6x9 you may have to print a couple of times to get to 28 domino count. let me know if this works for you. sorry this message is so long.

Hello Lisa thank you for watching. Thank you I found the image on Pinterest and sized it up (dominos set is for me NOT for sale) I use a silhouette cut and print option. I use to have and work on a cricket I remember them having that same option. Have they changed/updated the size you can print up to? Cricut will print in color you are just using the machine to cut you are using your printer to print out the image.

Hello Jeanette ...... YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL 🥰🥰🥰🥰 You have the right idea all the way to the “T” . If you are having that issue you applied too much. If you are using a decal/oracle or something on top don’t fill epoxy to the rim. By not filling to the rim it will give you a guideline of how much clear epoxy to add after you put on the decal. If you have already did it DO NOT THROW AWAY let’s fix it. Put on your decal apply some epoxy to your finger and rub a thin layer (make sure you have on gloves). I hope this helps. Hey Michelle I have a large silicone measuring cup and that’s my guide. Looking at Google if you compare to using a cup... 200ml is equal to a 7oz cup. If you use a 8oz cup you are pouring 250 ml of part A and the same amount of part B. When I use “200 ml of part A and 200ml of part B and then mix together it will make a full set which is 28 dominos (either a professional size OR jumbo size) with the professional size you will have enough left over to do 2 shot glasses OR an ashtray... I hope this helps and not confuse you.

You can do one OR 2 things you can measure exactly from start to stop of where you want it in the domino., you can purchase a dominos template thru Etsy ( but you will need to know the size you are using). I haven’t used Cricut in a while but we can figure this out. Find out the size you are using.

Hello MsLolaBunny40.... Love your name🥰 The container was purchased from Dollar tree. There are some on Amazon but it was wasn’t in my budget. The spray paint colors used in this order was white flat primer, a couple of squirts of green , a couple of squirts of gold . I then mixed some epoxy ...with my popsicle stick put some glitter on the top and stirred it in the epoxy. Laid the precut/pre printed image down and poured the epoxy everywhere on the lid ... Hello Keshia make sure that you mix the epoxy well. Also if you notice some bubbles while in the dryer pull out and use your heat gun and go over them to pop and place back in the dryer.. same thing you can do with a toothpick if the epoxy is still loose. But the most important is mix well. Let me know if this helps

It can be several reasons. Epoxy old OR your measurements are off. What ever you use in part A you have to use the same of part B. Are you letting them dry naturally -may take longer to cure or using an epoxy dryer?

@@resinhandmadecrafting1815 I don’t know what condition your mold is is. If it’s a little dirty use a baby wipe. If it is dirty use soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reusing. I prefer Dawn and have used Dawn.. cause that’s all I had… I don’t know about anything else

I tried out some some mica powders and glitter mixed in resin in my dominoes mold. The parts of my dominoe that touched the mold aren't shiny but the back side is. Any idea why this? I'm new to resin.

Hello Patricia congratulations on starting and trying new things. The top would be clear gloss shine because it’s just epoxy with no color added. A suggestion would be lay a very small amount of clear epoxy to just cover the bottom and allow to get hard before applying your color. .... let me know if this helps

@@melamela9425 mela dont be SCUR'd. You got this you can touch it right away just dont put any nail prints in it...if for whatever reason its not hard its ok to put it back in the dryer for another 10-15 min or just let it sit out and harden its up to you

Hello Michelle for that particular which I used the Jumbo mold. I used the same amount in part A and part B which was 200ml each when you mix them together total is 400 ml. This was enough for the mold and a small amount left just to cover something small like an alphabet mold keychain or the bottom of an ashtray
