Can you solder using an actual kiln? I know that’s random but as you were building “the kiln” that is where thoughts wandered.

Those are the best ideas! I haven't tried it and you should be able to really set your kiln to a very precise temperature. Hard solder will melt at 740 degrees celsius where silver will melt at 890 degrees celsius. Thinner pieces might start to melt before thicker pieces will. But it could be fun to try.
