I would use a standing double in the beginning instead of a chain 2.

Hi, to make a twin how many of each yarn would I need to purchase? Also, can I use a 4 medium 3.5 ozs, two of wands color theory yarn to make this blanket thanks.

Yes you can! The chart in the pattern will tell you how many yards you’ll need for each color for all the different sizes. The link to the pattern is in the description! 🫶🏻
