this might actually be the most helpful diffuser tutorial as far as actually calculating what you need for your specific room. Thanks for that!

I do like this video you stayed focus start to end. You shared few tips and this is first video where I wasn't ask to hit that ?/#_6 button, my free will so I sure did hit it. There's so many different ways of doing this as they fight over who knows all the right information and who knows the most and the know it all type. Nice room is there a bed in there. My little room I live in, under bed d storage top is work bench. Odd time I'm sleeping in a tent this way what I'm doing gets done faster. I love life listening to the raccoons fighting over garbage

Nice job. Did you take any before and after room measurements to see if there was actually a difference in your frequency response? Highly advisable since you went through all that work. REW is a great software tool for this (and its free).
@ju1ceaudio3 жыл бұрын
Appreciate it! I didn't not actually take after measurements. But I am going to work on this room some more so I'll keep you updated.

@@ju1ceaudio All good. Definitely check out Room EQ Wizard (REW) when you decide to take some measurements.

@@ju1ceaudio hopefully i'll get around to building my skyline diffusor as well. just finished doing a bunch of custom bass treatment for the studio before adding the Barefoot FP 01's. Definitely worth it. Things are sounding lovely.

Hi. Great job! Could you please explain why and how did you selected target (design) frequency as 1500 Hz? I believe it is dependent of some factors such as the room dimension, treatments already have etc. I'd love to apply this to my home studio as well. Thanks in advance.
@ju1ceaudio3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is dependent on room dimension and treatment. I used REW before I treated this room and got some decay graphs.From the research I did online and read a good starting point for diffusion is 1500hz range. Of course you could go for a lower hz but then the diffusion sticks would be quite long. Basically 1500 is good for multipurpose application but if your room is treated well you could easily find the exact range you need to diffuse.

@@ju1ceaudio Thank you so much. Keep up the great work.

Yes I do believe it's best to target the Fs. That the ear is the most sensitive range. Questions time. You do know that you could added an extra free peck. On the back side add 2" of insulation now every two or four inches you pull it out from the wall that doubles the affected lower down in frequency in the bass, to make it to tube trap

How thick was the back plate? half inch? Also watching you cut the blocks in length I had an idea that you could cut more than one at a time since the sled has enough space and you could simply extend the stop block. I only have a miter saw, there wasn't enough space on mine for more than 3 to fit or cut.
@ju1ceaudio3 жыл бұрын
back plate was 1/4 inch. Yeah that was a good idea i have a miter saw now so next batch is going to be more efficiency made.

Have you noticed sound improvements? Looks gr8
@ju1ceaudio2 жыл бұрын
yes it def adds a dfferent sound than absorption panels.
@atmfree23253 жыл бұрын
Do they actually help acoustically or is a panel of insulation better. Or is it just more for the look?
@ju1ceaudio3 жыл бұрын
ATMFREE Absorption panels are essential. Diffusion is honestly a luxury and you don't "need" it at all. If you cover enough surface area in an already treated room you will get audible results. I am planning for more in this room in the future
