*I love my new solar **Generater.Systems** . It has the right amount of charging power for my needs and the light weight makes the portability idea.*

I love how much smaller and lightweight this is than my older power banks kzbin.infoUgkxU45wIUiiQjrUWgrFNORkYxVlmCsYWENJ and yet it charges even more. Bought one a couple months ago and loved it so much I purchased a second one and gave it to my granddaughter as a gift. We're avid campers so power banks are an absolute must have. I also like to keep these charged for when the power at home goes out which has happened a couple times this year. They are so convenient and easy to use. You can charge multiple devices at the same time. The compass is a nice added bonus. I appreciate how quickly this arrived. I am curious to see how long these take to charge in the sun.

You are good at a Power bank device with two solar panels. The good thing about the Power Bank module with the led lcd screen is that it shows the battery level in percentage. I used the same module for your Power Bank as yours with the led lcd screen.

I like the idea, in fact i will replicate most of it. But I have a few concerns. 1. I rather make this a 3S. 2. Can't cross wires. 3. Make a bracker for the first panel so is not touching the batteries and last. No exposed wires!

cells in parallel all need fuses in any size power bank to really be safe. but the scariest thing here is he did not insulate the negative shell of the cells on the positive end by using those little cardboard rings you see on every cell of a pack. Then he heated the metal positive bus bar right on top of the negative part of the positive ends of his pack. then hit the pack with more heat again, when shrink wrapping it. YES the positive end of an 18650, has a positive and a negative surface. the negative surface of the outer shell, in only insulated with the shrink tube. And that melts with low heat. if his bus-bar heats up for whatever reason like unfused damaged cell or board malfunction, and we could be talking about a blow torch type fire. you can get 200 of those tiny cell fuses for $7. THERE IS ALSO FUSE WIRE. Any paper can be used under the bus-bar to protect that negative edge of the cell's positive end. some cells have the paper/cardboard insulation ring under the shrink tube of the cell. look at them closely or just add something anyway.

you have used li ion in parallel , so 3.7 - 4 volts is the source voltage, using a step down converter how does it provide 5 volts output?

Step down is taking the solar energy and then charging the batteries. But charging them true the powerbank board is big waste of energy... But like that is a lot more safety

Hi ! You connected the solar panel in paralel ?
@paveljelinek7724 жыл бұрын
Usb tester??? Name??? Brand??? Link??? It's nice and simple looking plus i like it's display alot edit: nooo, man, you're wasting power by connecting that stepdown board to mUSB!!! That way you're transforming power from the FVP 2times! You should use a charger board without mUSB that takes 5-15V input and charges the batteries directly, that way is far more efficient, your FVPs are too weak to afford this efficiency loss! Edit: did you connect those FVPs in series or in parallel? I suggest you go with series, that way you'll be able to bump voltage so even in low light you'll get some juice
@p0tr3bit3l4 жыл бұрын
I've been thinking the same for wasting the energy. But I don't know how to charge those 18650 safety otherwise... I'm curious how fast can one cell be charged in normal daily conditions

@@p0tr3bit3l ok, i'm just working on my own solar powerbank setup.. got 1x6000mAh li-po, 2x epoxy 4.5W (6V) panels, 2A charger board without no mUsb www.hadex.cz/m401b-nabijecka-1-2-li-ion-clanku-2a-s-ochranou-modul-s-io-tp5100/ (overcharge+underdischarge prot.), Powerbank module with no display - able to deliver 2.1A + 1A (2x USBa)+ charge with mUsb at 1A.. Though i just ran at the thing about solar panels - something about MPpoint so maybe i'll use some MPPT later on and see if that'll give more juice.. still i'll buy it www.hadex.cz/m464a-regulator-mppt-6-36v-5a-modul-s-displejem/ and see how much i'll get with it (i have profi usb tester / 50euro) and just with dcdc stepdown 3A usb.. My big panel is 30Wp btw (big poly, quite heavy) edit: why using protection module? It's essential only if going with serial connection, that powerbank module already has over/under prot..
@paveljelinek7724 жыл бұрын
Ok, prototype's ready but you've done it right.. the red charging led is on but display is off, meaning the pb module does not recognize that it is charging.. Maybe i'll connect those panels (2x4.5W in parallel) directly to the mUsb input??? FV panels are 6V and on load the voltage goes down to about 4.8-4.9V so it should be ok to do that without further rectifying.. What do you think?
@p0tr3bit3l4 жыл бұрын
@@paveljelinek772 can you upload some photos. Later on ill give you link how one guy soldered it different way, not to mUsb

@@p0tr3bit3l Fvpanels in parallel going into 2A Cc/Cv 2A circuit board (5-20V in) with all protections, connected to battery.. Battery connected to 2xUsb powerbank module with display, 2.1A + 1A (tested amps, both slots at 1.4A though, 7.5Watts grrrrrrrr) and that it.. I think i'll just remove that 2A charger board and connect those fvpanels directly to mUsb tomorrow to see actively on display that it's charging.. It should be fine..
