Unfortunately, the petroleum jelly would cause the finished product to be more of greasy cream rather than a solid balm. If you are looking for a substitute for the beeswax you could try, Cera Bellina or Candelilla Wax.

Hi Joanna, the difference between this and a lip balm is the amount of essential oils that I used. In a lip balm you should use is about 2 drops per container.

The scent itself should last for awhile. And as for projecting I would say yes it does, put not overpowering.

No, you can substitute another butter if you choose it will however change slightly the final consistency of the product.
