Welcome to the full tutorial on how to make a Springtrap cosplay head from Five Night's at Freddy's! I listened to my amazing subscribers, and tried to make the perfect tutorial for y'all to follow and make the best Springtrap head you can!
I also constantly get asked this question: "how do you see through your masks?" I had to make an entire video on it, but still get asked the question. Basically, the eyes you see in the video are what I call "'show eyes". They have Velcro on the bottom so I can take them out and replace them with see through eyes. To make see through eyes, use mesh instead of white paint. I just use those eyes as display or show eyes to make the costume look more realistic. Hope this helps
List of materials:
Remember to check places like thrift stores, small businesses, or garage sales for any of these materials so you can save more money and help out small businesses

Plastic Mesh Canvas for Jaw Structure: www.michaels.c...

What were the dimensions of the foam you used to do the triangles and such? I’m asking because once I measured my head, there’s a bunch of extra foam going up
@AyeJayDeeDIY
@AyeJayDeeDIY Жыл бұрын
Measure how long the foam sheet is. Divide that number by a high number like 7-10. Say the foam sheet is 32 inches long, divide it by 8 so you get 4. 8 is the number of triangles, and 4 is how many inches the bottom of the triangle is. I usually make the height about 3.5 inches tall. Mark a line at the midway point of the 4 inch base on the triangle (2 inches) and draw a line straight up 3.5 inches. Then just use a straight edge/ruler to connect it from the top middle to the bottom sides. Hope this helps 😁

I think I'm going to try making this for a con this coming February. How long did the head + suit take to make (you think its possible to finish it before feb 20th?) ? also I got really confused with the second layer of foam part, did you just wrap the whole head with another foam(if so how)? Sorry if this is a bit of a late comment but it would help a lot.
@AyeJayDeeDIY
@AyeJayDeeDIY 11 ай бұрын
I know the head took 20 hours total, but I don't know about the rest. I didn't work on it as much as I could have because I had work and school. And there really isn't a set time it takes someone to make it, so my time frame won't do you any good. It all comes down to your experience, your effort, and how much time you have to work on it. But I know for a fact it took wayyyy less than 4 months lol so you should be fine. For the foam, it's really simple. All you do is hot glue it onto the base and do the triangle dome thing on the top

BRO ME AND MY DAD R STRESSED MAKING THE HEAD SHAPE. I have five questions 1. What are the dimensions for the triangles because when we try it some are too big or too small to perfectly cover the entire roof of your head 2. How many triangles should there be to fit the roof perfectly 3. How do you draw springtrap’s face so perfectly like how big is his eyes or how close is his nose to his eyes 4. Is the head and bottom jaw separate because our head looks too skinny and tall for it to be Springtrap’s whole head. So should we cut off the bottom half? 5. How do you make the nose to stick out
@AyeJayDeeDIY
@AyeJayDeeDIY 9 ай бұрын
All you do is use a marker and draw his face 🤷 There isn't anything special to that. I free handed it. The eyes are the size of the diameter of the ornaments. Draw the eyes first based on where your eyes are. For the last questions: Yes... As shown in the video I make a top half of the head and make the jaw separate. I show how I connected them by using a hinge mechanism with brad pins. Make sure to watch the whole video because it's shown there. Do you mean the nose or the muzzle? I show how I made the nose in the video. But if you are referring to the muzzle, just hot glue a couple pieces of foam together, sketch out the shape, and trim the excess foam off
